  1. Thought i'd drop this in here for those in the Midlands area might want to try it.

https://www.cyclingmallory.com/ - safe, smooth and traffic free way to ride.

1st and 3rd Monday's are Family Nights and Wednesday's are Adult nights.

I went last night as they put on an additional Adult night - nothing major but did 16 laps (16 miles).

Coops- can't you get someone at work to oblige?

Would ordinarily but going with friends who'll also be parking. Makes sense to park together plus they don't have that facility.

Suggestion based on what I did for daughter & SIL when the went on honeymoon. She had me on insurance at time ( daddy saved her £100's ) as she was under 9 years NCB. I drove them to East Mids, dropped them off and returned to pick them up. Cost- a few quid in petrol.

Top idea. I see you are relatively local to me - I'll forward my address for collection. There are 8 of us including baggage!!!

Unfortunately have no one that could do that for me as the car is company one and therefore insurance limited.

Sensible man. Log your mileage before you leave the car and fly out. Not sure if you have to leave your keys at Luton, but we always photo the car and the mileage just in case.

Both sound like they operate the same way as JetParks in Manchester - ANPR on arrival, barrier automatically opens, park car and lock it up. Shuttle bus then arrives to take you to terminal. Return process is reversal of arrival.

No reason to hand over keys.

I always use Airparks at Luton. It's a shuttle bus service into the terminal.

Airparks run a Mid Term and Long Term. The Mid is is just off the A1081 roundabout by the looks of things, and the Long is at the back of the airport.

Both seem pretty reasonable for the week and very similarly priced so will book one of those.

    Great job.

All I need to know is how you can change ACC into 'normal' cruise control.

You can't change it - it is designed as ACC. If you wanted normal cruise control then you'd have to strip it all out and install a different version which kind of defies the point.

Having had ACC for over 18 months now I wouldn't switch back. Drove a colleagues car with normal cruise the other day and it's just awful in comparison - had to keep switching it on and off to maintain flow / change lanes etc. Whereas with the ACC i just let it run.

@Coops I'm having similar issues with my Octy 3 FL, which comes with LED lights. Dealer said it's meant to adjust according to driving conditions, but I find they're far too low to make progress on unlit loads.

Did you have any success after your car was repaired?

to be perfectly honest, I've only driven at night once since the repair so can't really comment. It seemed slightly better but hard to tell.

Good grief Coops, 'lucky' really isn't your middle name is it.... I hope the damage to the bumper isn't too bad. is it something you can fettle or is it back to the repair shop?

Thanks. Getting really depressed about it now and think the car is jinx'd. Even been looking at what other company cars are available in the business for me to swap too. Got until 2020 with it!

It will have to go back to the repair shop.

Just back from a week in the sun to a letter from HMRC suggesting I need to repay £3.5k in child tax credits dating back to 2014.

NoT looking for any lectures or soapbox rants, just some steer on whether it is correct as the onus seems to be on me to 'defend or pay up'

I'm in exactly the same boat mate. Came back from hols and had a letter. I have recently cancelled receiving child tax credits as at least 4 of my colleagues have had to repay.

I've yet to call them to discuss but I know from colleagues that the money needs to be repaid and that in most circumstances it cannot be done through taxation.
