Thought I'd add to this and something a bit different.
Road bike was looking a little grubby and decided to use my Gtechniq products to smarten it up.
P1 polish on the rims
T1 trim on the tyres
C2v3 on the frame
Elbow Grease degreaser used on the bar tape (this was quite marked up but brought it up a treat)

Perfect choice @Zenbasses I have always liked the Sirrius alloy.

Poor lad lost his battle today.
Nothing more to say.

Apart from the power plant I just preferred the look of the Superb. Yeah I've had a few niggles but I don't keep carping on about 'em ;-) and they have so far been sorted to my satisfaction. I would buy another.
Just leave the moaning to MartiniB !!!

Provisionally sold.

The phone should sync itself with the Columbus, I know mine does.
If I delete on the Columbus, it deletes from the phone.
If I delete from the phone, the Columbus will re-sync and delete (it may not be immediate though)

I'll offer £50 delivered, which I think equals the offer I made in October 2015

Just use a measuring tape and check the windscreen in height !
Please let me know your findings.
Come on then, enlighten us into what vehicle you bought that suits your requirements?

I'm not going with anything as I already have 19s - I'm just providing the comparisons to assist the OP

its 225/40R18 and 225/35R19 as standard I think?
Yes but price differential is going to be similar.
Same brand again - Pirelli:
18s - P6 Cinturato XL - £94.34
19s - P Zero XL - £164.21
Cheapest 19 from supplier.

if the so called missing section at the top of the screen, is causing you to not see the road, then you really really need to be adjusting your seat.
Or going to Specsavers.

Sat in one of these at the weekend - I agree the outside is lovely but the inside is cramped, uncomfortable and cheap looking.
Typical Alfa then!

Shame.

Not sure I like the front end of the Arteon... it doesn't seem to have been thought through properly with that body coloured lip on the leading edge of the bonnet between the lights - looks a bit droopy to me.
I think they didn't want to upset the grille lines coming off the headlights - there are 2 of them, having a third would make it look odder than it is now. But you're right it does look a bit of an afterthought. Strange that Skoda dropped the large opening hatch in the S3 but then VW pick it up in this.

I wish for an Alfa Romeo Giulia coupé, but doubt that they'll make one.
It'll come I'm sure of it.
Even the stock Giulia is stunning:

I like the look of it. I'm ready for something different now - thinking that when my Superb is replaced in 3 years I'll go for something else.
If I'm honest - I'm bored of the Superb now.

I have mine set to "late" and on occasions they have come on when going through trees in bright sunlight. I'm still confused at times when they have or haven't come on!

Could be - but I thought the air con sensor was in the unit with the courtesy lights etc

Keep in mind that it's 225/XX/RXX that is the standard fit size.
For the Octavia, yes.

I went from 17s to 19s when I changed to the Superb 3 - I've noticed the ride is harsher but I expected that anyway.
In terms of price differential, just done a quick check of 235/45R18 vs 235/40R19 and it's £50 per tyre different (£135.15 vs £188.18) - Pirelli P7.

Old thread revival!
Still got this if anyone wants to make an offer? £65?

That sounds like a problem I used to have, which in my case was pure driver-error. In my previous car I'd got into the bad habit of knocking the car into neutral and then coasting / braking gently to the point where I braked fully to stop. Of course, with start / stop, putting the car in neutral and lifting your foot off the clutch (if manual) will cause the engine to cut out.
7 hours ago, Jaytip said:It's not just manuals, it does it with the auto 'box too. At least mine does.
6 hours ago, Enobar said:It does cut the engine a second or two before stopping. The steering feels like it 'locks' but its just the assistance cutting out - you can still steer its just stiffer and if you do yank the wheel around the engine will restart. It is slightly disconcerting at first but you'll get used to it. Or you can deactivate the start/stop system which will prevent it from happening
Is this just the start/stop cutting in?
I had it for the first few days until i started switching the S/S off at the start of the each journey. I will at some point get it programmed out permanently.

Not been following this too much but reading between the lines, it looks like you need to reject and walk away IMO.

@Rustynuts Sorry for the delay, not been able to get over to check the machine, but I can confirm it comes with all the necessary equipment. Here are some pictures I took to help:

Bit of an update:
44,000 miles done, another service due soon
Need yet another windscreen, that's 3 in all
Chrome door trim coming off again, campaign was done and claimed but trim is coming off intermittently so needs to go back again
Tow bar getting lots of use, great addition
Colleague borrowed it and scuffed an alloy!
Headlights seem better aligned since the accident repair but have only driven it once at night
