I wouldn't have thought much of a market, I binned mine when I put mk3 seats in.

Has anybody has issues with end float on a tfsi? Sent my car in for what I thought it needed, new clutch and flywheel, they noticed play in the gearbox so that went off for repair. Now after putting it all back together it was still vibrating through the clutch pedal. Box came back off and end float was discovered on the crank. Now it needs a new engine! Just great before Xmas.

Sounds quite chatty! Had no option but to go with std luk flywheel and clutch as it completely failed yesterday, booked in on Tuesday. Uprated clutch was a 3-4 week wait, so wasn't an option. They told me that it would be fine for a stage1 map.

Could you do a vid of how it sounds at idle please?

Hi, been having a few issues with the clutch pedal vibrating and has now started to crunch when pressing. Pretty sure it's release bearing issue's, but might aswell do the clutch and flywheel while the box is out. Is anyone on here running the rts duel clutch and single mass flywheel? Does it chatter on idle like I've been told?

If you could that would be great.

Do you get any transmission noise when at idle? I was told by awesome gti that they are noisy and not for a daily car....

Ok, well my £400 cup kit turned up. Took the plunge and ordered the ttrs top mounts, new bump stops and dust boots. Got to wait a week or so for the post again. Do the springs have spring caps, or is it the bearing that it sits into?

When fitting new suspension is it advised to fit new rear mounts?

Got my bargin H&R cup kit on it's way, rather than mess about with top mounts I plan to buy new. Has anybody fitted the ttrs top mounts?

Great, just trying to make sure I get the right kit lol. I have seen that I need to use the dust cover and bump stop, would a std bump stop not be too big?

How odd, everywhere else it comes up as 45-50mm comfort kit.

Do you have any experience of the comfort kit H/R40260-1?

So they do a 50mm kit, am I right in thinking it drops the vrs by 35mm?

You need to snip the plugs off the mk3 vrs and fit the ones off the mk3 seats. The do not simply drop in as mentioned, they can be made to fit, but will not tilt forward. The only option is to remove the foam and material from the mk3 seats and fit them to the frames of the mk2.

Looking to treat myself to a lowering kit for xmas, the H&R kit is looking favourable at the minute. All the kits seem to lower the front more than the rear, do the vrs's sit lower at the rear as std? If anybody on here has experience of this kit I'd like to hear honest opinions on ride quality
