New battery on Mk3 and voltages
I think those Symptons of the start stop not working even after a 100km highway drive that I have are the same as your with teh original EFB. Yours was also a 2015 EFB Moll right? mine died this winter where it was competely dead(needed to open with the key not even remote worked). Before it was compeltely dead, the voltage before starting was around 10.8 V, but the car always started fine. My experience with the AGM (A Varta in my case, quite cheap just 90 euros) is very good, I just changed to fleece with the OBD like it was clarified in the forum, and just like you showed there. :-)

Multimedia upgrade from Swing
Yes and no, that set of cables is one for the video unit (fakra blue and pink) and one with the grey connector that provides can, reset and power to the screen. Then either you can modify the wiring of your car or buy a quadlock 52 pin and modify the cables there to mount the grey connector. Or buy an Aliexpress cable set already made.( it seems Go to my post on this retofit for more Info and contact Pab about it. He is the expert in this Fabia retrofit.

Smartlink
Oh sorry, I misread, thought that he got a Bolero or Amundsen. Then @RABAH you need to investigate if the method of wirer is suitable for you, sorry.

Battery low warning
Just to let you know, after 6 years with 59 Ah EFB Moll original battery died to the point of not even opening the car with the keys with outside temps of -13C. The low battery warning just showed up one week, and few months before only the start stop did not work. So I bought a 60 Ah AGM battery of Varta for 90€ as EFB was around 30 to 40 euros more exp, replace it and coded as ''Fleece'' with the help of OBDeleven and so far everything fine :-). Hope this helps if you don't find a cheap EFB replacement.

Smartlink
Like @pab567 told you if your car did not have it earlier, is mainly impossible to have it activated afterwards, your car does not support the SWaP codes for it. Look also what @wirer said he has an extensive experience to Fabias. Maybe the easiest way is to contact Pab about your unit.

Upgrading Head Unit and Display
@langers2k thanks for the info, indeed I think I will check on Erwin, that exact quadlock I ask the chinese if it is compatible and they just told me no :-S. @stulemanski, cool I hope it fits your car connections, I will come here to see your results :-)

Upgrading Head Unit and Display
Any luck finding an already made cable for a reasonable price? I'm looking to do the same for a Fabia III. The Chinese cables on Ali are most of them for the old quadlock to the new one. I am really looking to do the cable myself but need to find out the pinout of the screen to the head unit.

Retrofit Cruise control for car with Speed Limiter
Hello dear Forum, I did some research and I found some nice post with discussions about retrofitting the tempomat/cruise control in a Fabia 10/2014 with only speed Limiter install. I think the best feedback is the user @wirer and his personal blog that thanks to google I could translate to English :-). The real deal here, is if that part number that Wirer mentioned works also for a car of 10/2014 and if indeed the Skoda dealers will code with the Swap the CC to my car. For example I found the combination 6C0953501K/ 6C0953513F to buy online but not sure if the variant K is also suitable. On the BCM side I just discover that I have the model ending in 89B, and that one according some googling (is also used in the Polo facelift 2014) should be able to support the cruise control. I guess the most difficult part is to get this stalks coded by Skoda when they did not even install them. Anyone having experience with the activation in Germany? Thanks again in advance!

Smart Link Radio Retrofit
Well I am back looking to make this Retrofit. Pab I tried to send you a private mesage but I think it did not reach you (probably Msgbox full). Well guys now I am looking to purchase the parts, the most complex thing I guess is the set of cables to go from 1 unit to screen + brain unit. I identified that I need: - Screen video cable (blue connector on screen and pink one on the unit) - Power for the screen (blakc connecto on top of the screen. This last one I thing is the trickiest, I found some extension cables designed for a Golf Mk7 in Aliexpress that are maybe not needed as in the fabia the brain unit will be almost behind the screen. I will inform once I move forward with this. Regards

Smart Link Radio Retrofit
Wow Pab 567, thanks for the feedback, then I guess the only way is as you mention, change the swing to a Bolero or Amundsen. First of all I will need to find a Swin plus, which I cannot find one, but I see a lot of Bolero on the internet As I have a Swing unit, I will need the Display and the glovebox unit, I read that you recomend the 5Q0035874A Amundsen for the glove unit, but for the touch screen? maybe there is a combination that works? I will look again for a post of a guy that changed from the Swing to Bolero/Amundsen to see how he fitted the second unit. I will come back again now that I see this is the best way to go. Thanks @pab567

Smart Link Radio Retrofit
Hello All, First message in the forum! I am looking to change the Swing radio of my Fabia Combi NJ, I used the search forum and found there some ways to do it, but still not clear for me all the steps more or less. I see that many people recommend to upgrade to the Amundsen, but I really do not need the GPS and so on, with the smartlink with Android Auto I will be more than Happy. - I have the swing radio, so no unit on the Glovebox. Is there any other unit with smartlink available that do not need the unit in the glove box? - If I buy the unit from Ebay or similar, does the dealer unlock it just paying the fee? is there any problem with this? - My Fabia is from April 2015, so the 2014/10 series, any foreseen problems when doing Radio retrofit? I saw the post of updates and his change of Bolero Admunsen from @pab567, quite interesting but also not exact what I want (I do not need the Admunsen) How do you see it, any ideas or recomendations?
