  1. Yep, just simply pull the original one out, and replace with this one. One minite job.
  2. Just wrapped the car to make it looks a little special: the small corner on rear door (IDK how to call it), and the buttom parts of all the doors (under the original black trim) . The blacked corner makes the rear window and door looks longer than before. It gives the car a kind of 4 door couple proportion. But on the other hand, it looks a bit strange, especially on a close look. I'm still not sure whether to keep it. The wrap on the buttom of doors is quite subtle, but it does make a quite nice contrast. I like it very much.
  3. Just did the full car sound deaderning last week: all 4 doors, tailgate, boot floor, all 4 wheels arches, bonnet, and B pillars. I used Pingjing 2.2mm sound deadener, top with Pingjing 4mm rubber damping liner. Now the car feels quite and chill. Bonus shoot, the car is also a little bit lower than before, thanks to the those good 50 kilo sound deadener. Tho the car does feel a little heavier when driving as expected, I don't really mind it. One small tip: for anyone who has a car with powered tailgate, AVOID use sound deadener on the tailgate. Those sound deadeners just give struts too much pressure due to leverage. At the beginning I placed sound deadeners on both top and back side of the tailgate. When I tried to close the tailgate, the door was like be smashed. And it could not open by the powered strut itself properly, I had to give it a hand to open. Seems the struts didn't have enough torque to handle the extra weight. Then I remove the sound deadeners on the back side, only leave those sound deadeners on top side there. The power tailgate worked ok then, but still not as smoothly and gently as before when closing. In the next few days, I kept asking myself: would those sound deadeners make any difference? Maybe yes. But would those sound deadeners make a huge difference? Probably no. Is it worth to taking the potential risk of breaking my struts just for that little changes? Of cause no. Today I finally decided to remove all the sound deadeners on the tailgate. Now the tailgate feels as smoothly as before (of cause it should). I don't find the car be any louder in any circumstances.
  4. The car OP posted is from Taiwan. The diffuser can be found on Taobao for about 1400 RMB, which around 200 euro.
  5. Blacked out all the badges and emblems today.
  6. I found them on Taobao, a Chinese online shopping website, priced at about 120 bucks. Shipped to oz by sea freight, cost me 60 bucks I think. Had them painted and fit locally, cost me 600 bucks. So basically the side skirts themself are not expensive, but you need to find someone know Chinese to place the order for you. BTW, since you are in VIC too, where did you have virtual cockpit retrofited and how much?
  7. Only did 500 kilometers in last two months due to the lockdown. Need to do a road trip ASA the lockdown is lifted.
  8. Well, simply because I am a Chinese living in Melbourne. So I can access to the Chinese e-commerce website Taobao without any restric. πŸ˜‹ Items listed on Taobao are always much cheaper than those on eBay, even they might be exactly the same thing. I was working for ebay & Paypal when I was in China several years ago. So I know how these things workedπŸ˜‹ Basically all my cosmetic items are purchased from China, all the performance related or safety related items are purchased locally, or from those reputed manufacturers in EU and US.
  9. Well it is not Rieger side skirt. Actually I got it from China, shipped to OZ by marine. Cost me about 150 bucks for the side skirt itself, 20 bucks for shipping fee, 300 bucks for painting. I paint it with red on top, and black on bottom. It was like this, sorry for the low quality img. I was loving the side skirt at the beginning. But lately I felt it was a little bit too low for my taste. If you check the first pic, the side skirt was much lower than front and rear bumper. It makes the car looks like a guy with big belly. So I simply cut the black part, it looks much better for my taste. Simply Clever. I also made a pair of removable black side skirts.
  10. New to the forum. Here is my 2018 280 Sportline. Absolutely love it!
