Monte Carlo Headlights Retrofit
I’ll be sorting them out so everything works perfectly and then if I decide I don’t like them I’ll switch them back haha. I’ve not put the standard headlights and fogs for sale just yet

Monte Carlo Headlights Retrofit
Thank you for that, I could try doing it myself but if I have all of these diagrams I could always ask someone to sort it for me. Need to sit down and look at the them properly before I begin any work

Monte Carlo Headlights Retrofit
There is a very good thread on Team Bhp of someone who did this exact thing but their full beams didn’t work at all. I might have to have another look at their wiring diagrams and figure it out but thought someone else had a straight forward idea on how to make them work. What matters is that the shutters do work when the headlights are on thankfully

Monte Carlo Headlights Retrofit
Yeah I got them purely for style, prefer the black background

Monte Carlo Headlights Retrofit
True, would just be nice to have haha. I’ll have to figure it out at some point

Monte Carlo Headlights Retrofit
It does yes, also, had the wife check and turns out both full beams work as long as the headlights are on, if they're just on sidelights/DRLs then I can't even flash them

Monte Carlo headlights high beam do not work
Old thread I know but I’ve just realised this myself and it turns out my full beams do work and flash but only if the headlights are on, it won’t work if it’s just on sidelights/DRLs. Do you know what was done? How much did Škoda charge to sort them? Thanks

Monte Carlo Headlights Retrofit
Hi all, Retrofitted some Monte Carlo headlights on my Elegance model, I did have a search around before doing it but only downsides I found were light output was poor and nothing else. It wasn't until I fitted them that I thought to search about the full beams and came across a post saying they need to be wired differently (typical). Hopefully I made this title universal enough so that other people find it easily without having to think of trigger words such as "full beam monte carlo" ettc. Currently the driver's side headlight does work somehow and I can hear the shutter activating but the passanger's side headlight doesn't. Is this just a case of comparing both plugs and replicating it on the driver's side or do I have to do something else? Thanks

1.6 TDi Intercooler
Excuse me resurecting this old thread. How did you manage to fit it? Did you just take it to Darkside for them to do it? I'm picking one up at some point and was interested in doing it myself. Thanks

Lowering a MK2 Fabia
Thanks Damian, would I have to change anything else or is it just remove old, fit new kit and take it for alignment?

Lowering a MK2 Fabia
I've used the search bar but nothing quite answers my questions and concerns. I'm thinking of lowering my 1.6 TDI Elegance with 40mm KONI shocks and springs from DPM Performance. it's not a VRS or Monte so it's the highest ride height a fabia could be, however I do have the 17 inch Gigaros from the VRS on my car My questions are: - Is 40mm too much/too low when I've already got 17 inch wheels? - I've heard I may need to change drop links, top mount and bearing, is this right for a shock and spring kit? I've considered using 40mm lowering springs but my car is on 104k miles and they'll just ruin the current shocks so may as well get a whole proper kit. For the £400 budget, I won't be able to get decent coilovers hence why I picked the KONIs linked below https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/fabia/koni-40mm-strt-lowering-springs-shocks-suspension-kitfabia-5j-12tsi-14tdi-16tdi-19tdi-032007 Thanks

EGR Delete kit for the 1.6 tdi
Faulty / Failed EGR Valve - The EGR Valve is designed to recirculate exhaust gases back into the engine before they pass through the DPF. If the EGR is not working effectively or blocked the amount of exhaust gases passing through the DPF will be increased potentially speeding up the DPF blocking. Source: https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/diesel-particulate-filter-dpf-fap/ You can take it or leave it but personally, I wouldn't be doing an EGR delete when the DPF is still in. It essentially acts as like a filter for the particulate filter in a way

EGR Delete kit for the 1.6 tdi
I was under the impression that removing EGR while you still had the DPF is just gonna block up the filter far quicker as the EGR recirculates the exhaust gases so there aren't as many going to the DPF

Headlights
Unforunately, even LEDs are illegal. HIDs and LEDs will work great in a projector as that's what they're made for but they have to be equipped with auto leveling sensors and if I'm correct, headlight washers too, and technically the lens also has to be made for them. Basically, for it to be legal, get some Halogen H7s like Phillips Whitevision or something that look a bit whiter

EGR Delete kit for the 1.6 tdi
Regardless of whether you need to remap it, deleting the EGR while you still have a a DPF is disaster waiting tot happen.

Changing Swing for RCD330
Thank you, I'll most likely be using Carplay most of the time but I might as well install that gps module too

Changing Swing for RCD330
Hi all, Wondering how many of you changed their swing in their facelift fabia 2's for the RCD330/RCD330+. Is it an easy job or does it require adapters etc? I decided that using my xav-ax1000 from my previous car would be a lot of messing about so wanted to go for a more OEM look. I've only seen one thread on here that was a success where others had problems but they were all prefacelift. Is it a straight swap with the facelift models Thanks
