  1. Hello Zacko_O How do I go about up dating my BCM. I have a OBD11, would I be able to do it with this?
  2. Hello Joco776. Sorry, you have me confused as I know very little about the technical aspects. Can you explain what you mean by the "09 exchange statement", please? I do have an OBD11, would I be able to gather the required information with that?
  3. I am having similar problems on my vehicle. After a front camera update by a Skoda dealer, I lost several features on the car. I had help from a Briskoda member, who re coded the lane control. I managed to reinstall the convenience drivers seat, but the ambient light palette has disappeared and I have been unable to reinstate it. I just get a message in the central screen that tells me the colour is dependent on the driving mode; changing the mode has no effect. I was told this is likely down to the BCM needing updating, but could this be down to a blown fuse. I did contact another Skoda dealer two days ago, asking them if they could update the BCM and was told that a diagnostic check would be required first and the nearest date they had for this was in July. I decided to wait. Anyone had a similar experience?
  4. The auto up & down on all four windows of my 2019 Superb 190 Tdi L&K Combi, has stoped working, nor will they open and close using the key fob. The other problem is, the colour palette for the "Background Lighting" colours, has disappeared. When I look up the Vehicle Information in the central display, I receive the message: "Selection of colours depends on "Driving Mode Selection" setting". Changing the driving mode doesn't make any change in the colours. Does anyone have a solution for these problems, please?
  5. I had Lane Assist coded on to my Superb (it wasn't on from new, apparently) back in 2021 and had been working okay up until four weeks back, when the car was in for a pre NCT (MOT) check at a Skoda dealership, whilst there, they also updated the front camera software, which has wiped the coded Lane Assist. The dealership had an attempt at retrieving the coding, but without success and have now just given up on it. Does any do this coding, or know of someone that does, in Ireland, Munster region, or, any where in the SW of England / East Anglia, where I do visit a couple of times a year?
  6. My 2019 L&K Skoda Superb estate, didn't have lane assist activated when I bought it, used, from a dealership, in 2020 (who had as their demonstrator). I was told by the sales person that it did have lane assist, but by now, I was back in Ireland. However, one of the Briskoda members set it up for me when I visited the UK a few months later and apart from the odd occasion when it didn't activate, but was activated via the head unit, the system has worked fine, up until yesterday, when I had the vehicle in at a Skoda dealership for a pre NCT (MOT) check, when I asked them to upgrade the navigation maps, as well. It was returned, okay for the NCT, the front camera was updated, but getting back into the vehicle I noticed the lane assist wasn't working, but thought it was just another of those glitches that could be fixed via the head unit. When I arrived home, I tried to reset the LA, without success, so I had a go with my OBD11, for two other errors and reset them, but couldn't find any errors on the LA, so went through the apps on the OBD and tried to reload the LA, but the message came up that this was not available on this vehicle. Does anyone have a fix for this, please? I am due to go back to the dealership in a fortnight's time to try fixing the LA and the map update, but don't feel confident of it being fixed and would prefer to try doing it myself, first.
  7. Hello Sasha. I would go along with Berisford, with regard to your knowledge of the Superb, you certainly sorted out my one, it's made the car a much more enjoyable experience, from moving the seat on getting in and out (very useful for the knee problem), to the lane guidance, I have found this very useful and reassuring on some of the long journeys I have undertaken since your coded the vehicle for these driving aids. I'm sorry to hear of your reasons for a change of vehicle. As the saying goes: "a change is as good as a rest", although I can't imagine your at rest for long. Enjoy your change and the GTE. Kind regards. Terry.
  8. Hello Sasha. I believe you have me confused with another recipient of your help. Terry.
  9. Eirhead started following Spare wheel?

Thank you for your answer, Warrior193. The more I think about it, the more sense your answers make. Thank you.

Thank you, Carlston. I like easy answers, especially those that save money, as well. I'll check, and leave well alone, assuming the tyre is holding its pressure.

Does anyone know where I can purchase an extension for the tyre valve for the spare wheel in the well of my Combi? To check the tyre's pressure means removing the wheel from the well; which requires the styrene caddy for the jack and tools needs to be removed. An extension would enable me to check the wheel more conveniently and without this faffing around.
  13. Hello mfizz. This is the only other screen I can find that may relate to "Lane Assist". I don't think it's the Lane Assist / Traffic Jam Assist. The car has Headlight Assist, so I would imagine the camera is okay for Lane Assist.
  14. Hello mfizz. I think you are right, regarding which group you go to. Unfortunately, I am 40miles from my nearest dealership and around 70 miles to the next nearest two dealerships. Were it not for this Covid clampdown, I would have been visiting the UK in a weeks time, which has now been put back to late February 2021, providing there's no further increase of the virus. I have attached two photographs of the dash, showing the screen when the ignition is first switched on and the second showing the Assist System screen. These are all that come up. On a second note, can anyone explain what the petrol pump symbol on the left of the screen is supposed to depict? I understand the right hand side. Thank you all, for the help offered, it's greatly appreciated.
  15. Still awaiting a call back from my Skoda dealer, regarding whether or not they can can upgrade my car's system to full "Lane Assist"; I'm beginning to feel as though I've been put on the back burner; they are supposed to be getting back to me about a few extras I wanted to buy. It does make me feel that Skoda have fallen behind on customer care, when compared to ten years back, or is it just me?
  16. I have contacted my local Skoda dealer and they have done a VIN check and established that, the vehicle was supplied without "Lane Assist". I am now waiting to find out if they can install the software to establish it. Sounds as though it may be one of the 200 vehicles you mentioned, Sasha.
