  1. are you describing this sound? https://youtu.be/wvynDD57Xio?t=26
  2. i have the same issue and according to skoda technician, it should have Single mass flywheel on manual gearbox. do you hear this noise? https://youtu.be/wvynDD57Xio?t=27
  3. wow, is really became that bad after brexit?
  4. Vega wheels everywhere IMHO nicest original wheels on superb. does anyone have Vega R18 from octavia on superb?
  5. i personally really like 1.4tsi engine, but take this engine only if you dont mind having manual transmission. If you want DSG and have budget for it, take 2.0TSI (stronger version), which is amazing to drive and have reliable DSG type.
  6. Not OP, but for me, main reason was that 1.4TSI/1.5TSI is bundled with problematic dry clutch instead of much more reliable wet-clutch, which is present in 2.0TSI, etc...
  7. I tested Kamiq 1.5 TSI today and it does not have this issue. I have seen this problem only on Superbs or Kodiaqs so far...
  8. Does anyone has this problem on their 1.4/1.5TSI engines with manual transmition? It drives me nuts, its not just a sound, but if i press clutch too slowly, the whole car stutters.
  9. My Superb and my mom's Kamiq, little family photo
  10. Yes, i showed this issue on my superb 1.4 tsi to my skoda technician near Prague and they didnt consider that normal, but according to skoda, its normal behaviour... I already adapted my driving to almost eliminate this rattle/stutter, but it certainly makes driving less enjoyable.
  11. My 1.4 TSI does rattle at specific RPM range as well (usually around 3500RPM)
  12. I just noticed most of cars showed here having vega wheels probably nicest looking wheels imho for superb
  13. From Czech Republic to Croatia with 1.4 tsi 110kw, very pleasant suprise
  14. I recently bought GoodYear EfficientGrip Performance 2 with SoundComfort technology and it really helps with tyre noise, wind noise is now biggest factor of noise.
  15. LukasK replied to Guyboy's topic in Škoda Kamiq
Thanks, it looks like Kamiq issues are not directly related to sensitivity settings. Superb and Kamiq have settings on default medium and behaviour is different.

it worries me to hear those issues with front assist constantly panicking, because my mother ordered kamiq just recently and this could really make dangerous situations. Wierd thing is that in my superb, front assist usually works well, its not over sensitive and it already saved me two times from minor collisions. I thought this only improves in recent cars...
  17. I replaced my old tires Continental EcoContact3 and bought Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance 2 and what a difference! Comfort and Quietness was two dissapointments with my car, now it is finally superb level. Only air whistle at very high speeds remains as only downside, but i can live with that.
  18. How much Bose system upgrade in Audi cost comparing Superb Canton? How much cost the sound insulation? Its just huge difference between Canton and no Canton in Superb, same added difference could be again comparing Canton to any other premium system from premium cars. But like it or not, for 85% people, there is even no difference between Canton and No Canton... No offense, but having good trained ears sounds like a curse in this world, you can be hardly satisfied with anything mass-produced.
  19. Sure, for the additional price, compoments are cheap, but overall quality is not bad and certainly worth over standard sound. Subwoffer is certainly powerful enough for most people.

I drove Audi A4 and noise levels weren't that different. Hard to tell, but it wasn´t like driving Mercedes E class, which is noticably quieter than anything i was in. I had a chance to test Goodyear winter tyres on Octavia 2 and car seemed quieter than my Superb on Continental summer tyres on certain surfaces.

Bumping this topic up, because it was most recent one on this forum... I'am very sensitive about road noise, it ruins my time on long distance travels... I'am currently using Dunlop WinterSport 5 for winter and they are decently quiet, but I have Continetal Premium Contact 5 as Summer tires and they are loud as hell. Does anyone has experience with Goodyear Efficienty Grip Performance 2 regarding noise levels?
  22. Thank you guys for the confirmation, pitty i don't have integrated tow ball, which is probably the best option
  23. Thank you guys for the reply. I understand that noise will be more prominent with any roof rack, but i was afraid specifically about the mechanism on saloon/liftback version of the car, which seems those clips creates space in door rubber isolation.
  24. I'am planning to buy this oficial roofrack, which seems to be snapped under the door rubber. Does anyone have this liftback version? Is it noiser in the cabin? https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/en_CZ/basic-roof-rack-superb-iii-liftback/p/3V5071126
