  1. Thanks for posting this, I was trying to get my rear camera wired and thought I was doing something wrong where all the interior trims are so well attached. The last car I had a rear camera in was my 56 plate X-Trail, and the interior trims were so basic it was only a 5-10 minute job getting the whole thing installed!
  2. Theres a big old discussion about this on the Octavia forum, and someones just posted showing they've managed to replace the sensor that causes this on a superb. I had a word with my mechanic about this and apparently it doesn't cause any deeper issues other than the annoying message, as the sensor that causes it isn't the main one the gearbox uses to identify the gear position, it's more of a secondary back up. I've decided to just put up with it for the effort and cost involved. Someone said in the other discussion if you move the gear lever between park and drive a few times before you set off it helps clear the sensor. I've been doing that for a couple of week now and the warning hasn't come back since, so thats worth a try!
  3. Never mind, ignore me, I've just seen the later posts of it being done. That'll teach me to read ahead
  4. Oh damn, I've got a 2016 superb that's started doing the same thing as well, so was hoping the sensor bypass would work. I've started using the trick of going forward and back between park and drive a few times to clear off the sensor and its barely done it since which is a bonus. Why do these things always happen when the warranty expires. I think for the sake of over £700 I can put up with an occasion warning light though
