New Car today
So got my new Kamiq SE L in Race Blue delivered today. First thoughts are its lovely. Drives very well and is quite refined to drive. A couple of things I noticed weren't with it that I expected were the Removable boot light/tourch and a USB C adapter cable. Are these meant to come with the SE L? Thanks

Lovely colour thats the same as I am getting. Race Blue SE L standard spec but getting a towbar fitted so I can take my bike with me. Looking forward to it. It is being delivered on Tuesday. Moving from a Seat Ibiza FR so totally different. I think the Kamiq is a better finished car and should be more comfortable. Same engine as the Ibiza had 1.0 115 So should be similar power wise.

Wireless Android Auto
These are the only phones atm that support Wireless Android Auto: Google: Pixel/XL Pixel2/2 XL Pixel 3/3 XL Pixel 4/4 XL Nexus 5X Nexus 6P Samsung: Galaxy S8/S8+ Galaxy S9/S9+ Galaxy S20/S20+ Galaxy S10/S10+ Galaxy Note 8 Galaxy Note 9 Galaxy Note 10 A Google or Samsung smartphone with Android 10.0. A Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, or Note 8, with Android 9.0. I assume more will follow. The entertainment system needs to have the relevant hardware to work with this, which I believe is fitted to the Bolero and the Amundsen systems. It will probably require the latest software updates as well. I doubt that it will be restricted to certain regions as AA is avaliable pretty much everywhere. Probably just a time thing,

Lane assist is dangerous
I believe its an EU legal thing. The karoq was designed a couple of years ago before this came in. My dads last car, a VW Passat had it and it could be turned of perminantly as well. Now It can't be perminantly turned off. You can turn it off but resets when the ignition is turned off/on again.

Kamiq Is It For You
My dad has a 1 year old Karoq with the 1.5 DSG and the wheelspin on starting off is terrible, I've driven it a few times and have never seen this in any other car before. Certainly his 2.0D DSG Passat he had before didn't do it.

Lane assist is dangerous
But Car manufacturers make cars for all different markets and have different features for those different markets. The ability to turn off a freature is only a software change. I Wonder if a car sold in say Australia, has the same issues as we have in Europe?

- Lane assist is dangerous
I did during the test drive as I haven't got the car yet. It was rather violent and the first couple of times took me by surprise. However it can be turned off. The fact that this is not a 1 button press, I believe is EU regulations rather than Skoda being dificult. I suspect if there are enough complaints about it then they will need to do something about it. From what I have read on here it is a serious issue. Though, as Previously mentioned, I know of other people with different, non VAG, cars who aslo hate it. So it might be with us to stay :(- New Kamiq

Unfortunately as cars adopt more and more tech this is what we will need to do going forward. Some of the issues are not really the car's fault but technophobes who don't understand modern tech. I have an elderly neighbour who can never work anyting and even the car radio gets her. However, as I said in another posting, If manufatureres are going to make cars with more tech then they need to be easy and intuative to operate. Some of the things seem to be just plain complicated.- New Kamiq

I suspect this is not just a Skoda issue. A friend of mine's parents have bought a new BMW X5 (Ithink) and they are having the same issue, a rather violent jerk when it thinks they are going over a lane. I'm wondering if it's just the way it's meant to work. Obviously when it mistakes other things for lines that is where it causes problems.- Lane assist is dangerous
Wondering if it can be turned off via OBD software like Carista or OBD11? Not got mine yet so can't try it.- Kamiq Service Intervals
Whats the service intervals for the Kamiq 1.0 115?- SE L front indicator bulbs
Could anyone with a Kamiq that has the front Indicator bulb have a look and see what the access is like and how easy it would be to change? I'd really appriciate it thanks- SE L front indicator bulbs
Exactly. Its a style thing- SE L front indicator bulbs
No. So standard bulbs have a orange glow in the reflective surround when they are not flashing. You can buy Silder coated bulbs that Do not give this orange glow but still flash orange. Its called De Tangoing I believe. For example. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-SILVER-AMBER-REAR-INDICATOR-BULBS-BA15S-PY21W-TURN-SIGNAL-S25-12V/401066770208?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item5d61713f20:g:nRcAAOSwa-dWtKhA&amdata=enc%3AAQAFAAACcBaobrjLl8XobRIiIML1V4Imu%2Fn%2BzU5L90Z278x5ickkTboA95HSvGa1O5UmCCGJLptou69ptv4cCf6kWS9u18DpydFpkQZVX%2Fya%2FzTIIxRE0ezqBcbxQXfbceHjX1UITjWuZaE7X%2BnkLsHPEJwTxnZGiVcO0eQB%2FBrJEJ2KimXjs%2BpdNqiMH4HxAEzzKNqltGoxHgVcTcQrDZPBb6NmoRwn7rDnblPVe46h8aDDfsKWhO5DaeBtj7lG08hg0O6DZ%2F6fgR%2BmgMQj%2FliT9HkHakwMVxAtd2%2BvUgC1n7JKJUM2RYqYF5eCF3Dmq0ZHg%2BPc3Uv%2FyFfgl9DerbyCd%2BjyNs0ucPR7aQg8aIGZyYlWYTVhz4Ijx%2FY%2Fsh1zRspgzpGz7eFB%2Bo3SpR1q%2FD6r%2BMzrrN3b29mIA%2FkE5Dt4lDEDXZ8ZFcKy2T%2BAotZgnoYx%2F8WTatAdKTHtbJ4jiA7%2FrdkTAUgGve2S0emqGvxJZUXophi%2Bp2UKn0ici3pi1fxLsvd9uq2wM2SMOnEeabAbxYeHvsB4O%2FeoetZPb6xV6l2plN4TArinoRf0Xbm8wKzygjV1CAmdaTcSMMdKcgDP4FX3nX0btATgUTe6xVAFZ4VSyx4WzBLVBDJkiTO59qy6HWRxucRIPU5uAJQCh3074PE876wdzrqx7usFY08ysRHrKL7%2F6bZDbdTW%2BFXfA7sIGUf2NJDCczeHeE2uGQW0SWQjNmtHPpORfXaEhvfIlGf5fbSribjix%2BVwvrrzmPoWMzRzavcU%2BXdVNi0WUzhT72tdv7hUp10cckxy2%2BrWxTa1Dyw1uEb%2F5%2BPxI9kOJ9rk3v0s4Q%3D%3D|cksum%3A401066770208c65a9dd38fb240f082a2dc2a2a487ebc|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2334524- Bargain PCH pricing?
Absolutely. You need to compare costs for the same terms between sites. Another site I found is this one. Though for the Kamiq, it was Zen on it with the best prices. https://leasing.com/- Bargain PCH pricing?
What you need to watch out for is the actual details. The offer you have posted is based on £2000 up front and for 2 years at 8000 miles p/a. The offer I have is for £650 up front and 3 years. If I change your offer to similar I.e. 3 years and 3 months up front rather than 9 its actually £224 p/m so is more expensive. Also the one I've ordered from Zen comes with metalic paint. Yours doesn't seem to. Have a look. I'd say the Zen is a better deal. https://zen.auto/search-personal-leasing/budget?status=special&make=skoda&range=kamiq&model=kamiq hatchback- SE L front indicator bulbs
I have an SE L ordered and hate the fact they have old fasioned orange indictor bulbs. I want to change these to silver ones. How easy is this? On my current Ibiza there is plenty of room to access the bulbs from behind, is the Kamiq as simple? Thanks- Bargain PCH pricing?
I've ordered my SE L through Zen Auto for £201 p/m 3 years 8000 miles p/y
