  1. http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/YETI/Wind-Rain-deflectors/ I bought the dark ones from there, along with the b-pillar covers.
  2. That dealer uses same wallpaper in all their locations (different floor). Unfortunately weather outside does not look as good right now.
  3. ..one year later. In the end I owned the Yeti just a bit over a year. One month ago I traded it to Kia Soul EV to further reduce my commuting costs. Diesel has gone from 1.2€/l to 2.1€/l in one year, I am now paying installments on the EV that are less than just fuel costs were before. As I said to a friend of mine... "oh, so it looks like _that_ when it's clean". Pictures are from the dealer's ad, I saved them just for fun. One year, roughly 30'000km commuting, no big repairs. During last summer I added B-pillar covers, wind deflectors and extra led lights. All in all, I am very happy with the car, 10/10 would buy again Some people don't like how the Soul looks like but hey... to me it felt quite natural If only they made it in 4wd too...
  4. Like already said, that corrosion happens in days. If you look at the brake discs after rainy weather, there can be rust spots even after one day. It is nothing to worry about, rust like that wears out during driving. My second car spent last 4 months in the car park and its brakes got a little rusty too. So bad that it didn't really stop when I stepped on the brake pedal couple first times.
  5. I have Waze on everytime I drive, even when I dont have a route planned. I can see streets ahead of me if traffic is slowing down or halted. Also it warns me of accidents, speed traps and other obstacles. Data is user generated.
  6. Regarding front lights in general. I found these, when I was looking for other things http://www.kopacek.com/images/Svetla/t10-mega-yet7.jpg http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/YETI/Yeti-MEGA-POWER-LED-position-light-bulbs-KI-R For the DRL lights, P13W led should work Pictures here: https://www.obautodily.cz/skoda-yeti-led-zarovka-p13w-do-denniho-svicenni-super-led-1-kus-4951cz2412/ Same bulb has been used for example in B7 A4 drl lights. For the fog lights, my local car parts guy recommended H7 Philips Ultinon bulbs. I don't think any of those would pass inspections, since they are led and look nice...
  7. I think the logic is that nobody usually drives while bonnet is open, therefore wipers are allowed to work even if bonnet sensor doesn't function.
  8. Modern problems need modern solutions. Air suspension - just slam your car on the ground when you park, jack wont fit and they will target some other car instead They are not obviously going to do any hard work in the first place.
  9. Would it be wiser to install speedo with both km and mph? I would think it was an option for Yeti? This is also why I thought it would be a direct swap in the first place. I assume your car is left hand drive, so having km too would be beneficial in future when you sell the vehicle. Just an idea
  10. would replacing that plastic speedo disc from any junkyard yeti speedo work? Sure, it might be more work than garage originally planned.
  11. That makes sense. I guess I need to have that key then. No wonder the towbar looks like it has been there for last 5 years, probably the previous owner didn't had the key either.
  12. This seems like a topic with people who know certain things... How does the detachable tow bar come off? Manual says that instructions are provided with the tow bar itself. That was 11 years ago. I tried all kinds of friendly moves when I changed to summer tyres but I didn't want to resort to violence yet. I'd hate to break something just because I'm twisting it wrong way somehow.
  13. I almost went for Seat Arona 1.0 TGI when I was looking for different cars. Eventually I got to my senses and bought a 4WD Yeti. Seat would have been almost new and twice the price of (2010) Yeti, CNG/petrol powered but no 4WD option. There was a sweet FR trim one for sale back then and it was tempting
  14. I think the cause was parking disc and flashlight that I have in the door pocket. Usually they are wedged together to avoid rattle but sometimes they do come loose. At least I hope so, if it was something else I might have to wait until next winter to find out.
