I have a Kamiq but I assume the system is much the same. My ipod touch wouldn't connect to the car but I bought a double-ended USB stick from Argos USB-c one end and older connection for PC other end. I copied itunes straight onto the stick and it works perfectly. Hope that helps.

I had 'fun' with my ipod touch (same car spec) in that it wouldn't connect with the car. Dealer told me that the ipod was too old (though it connected with my friend's VW Golf parked alongside). I have put my music on a dual-ended flash stick from Argos and it works perfectly. USBc plugs into car, older connection into my PC.

When I bought a Fabia some years ago the salesman gave a brief run-through of the features of the car when we collected it, but I bought my new Kamiq just before the latest lockdown so, because of Covid concerns (understandably) it was really a case of 'here are the keys, take the car'. I didn't know, for instance, how to switch on the keyless ignition without starting the engine. I didn't feel too bad, though, after asking a Skoda salesman and he didn't know either! I know now thanks to a fellow Briskoda. Enjoying the Kamiq and looking forward to using it more.

I'm still getting used to the Info system, but I would imagine that you can't delete an empty favourites space. What I would do is take my favourite on the far right of the list, put that in the gap and then delete the original favourite from the end of the list. Wouldn't help, though, if you wanted them in alphabetical order. I have the Amundsen so not sure how alike the other ones are.

Thanks for replying and good to know. I must have been exploring the Infotainment for too long, getting to grips with it, and flattened the inbuilt battery!

Probably a silly question but still getting to grips with the Infotainment on my new Kamiq. Is it necessary to turn the system off each time or does it go off automatically when the ignition is off and engine stopped? it looks off but is something using up power in the background? I ask because having spent some time exploring the various options the next morning there was 'nearly flat battery' warning on the Info screen.

I couldn't connect and got the 'Call customer Services' message, which I did. This was during Lockdown 2. I was told by CS that they were advising customers not to attempt it until after lockdown as they were working from home and couldn't access the info they needed. I've given up for the time being.

Thanks. Am I right that you have to get the Skoda Connect up and running before the Breakdown Cover is effective? With my traded-in Rapid there was a Breakdown booklet, a phone number to call, but things move on and there's just the button to press, which has to be activated. Progress?

Because of Covid no one was prepared to sit in the car with me to briefly talk things through. It was a matter of here's your new car, here are the keys, drive off.

Thanks for your quick reply. I thought it was odd that engine had to be running so I queried this with the dealer. Salesman said no other way but to have engine running! I don't think dealers are keeping up with developments and cars are getting too complicated for them!

The software is driving me mad! My car is keyless, so does this mean that when it says switch on the ignition I have to sit there with the engine running? I've activated both keys in the car, and screen acknowledges it and then says cannot proceed contact Customer Services.

New user. I have had a previous model Superb, a Rapid, a Fabia and now a Kamiq. Still have the Fabia and getting used to the Kamiq.
