  1. Coxley (Wells) to Stourhead, A303, M3, M25 to Epsom - 62.8 mpg today (I do try to have the ‘ECO’ panel lit up at all times.
  2. 1.5 tsi manual, 2021 model. Epsom to Wells Somerset today, M25-M3-A303-Minor, observing speed limits, 60.1 mpg Southwold to Epsom a fortnight ago, local, A roads, M25, Dartford Crossing, 63 mpg Polegate to Epsom 5 weeks back, 65 mpg. Pootling around urban Surrey, SW London, 35-40 mpg depending on traffic.
  3. When I bought my new Kamiq 2.5 years back I asked the selling dealer to fit an OE reversing camera. After a few weeks when I had occasion to look in the footwell, I found half an inch of water sloshing about. It seems that their regular fitter had omitted a grommet in the boot lid. Fixed under warranty, slightly rusting spare replaced, I’ve had no further problems. Could be something else of course.
  4. Quite….but the bolts for a Kamiq are 5 x 100….NOT 5 x 112.
  5. Careful!! Stretch47’s 2017 Octavia would have 5 x 112 bolt size. Kamiq bolts are 5 x 100.
  6. Rather like my experience, you are being legged over, as we say in Sarf Lunnon. I had an oil/inspection service at 12 months on my October 21 Kamiq 1.5 at under 5k miles which cost c £181. I queried the cost of £285 for what is scheduled as another oil/inspection service at 24 months (and under 8k miles) . Got a long verbal list of what was extra, which sounded like no more than my 1 year service, except for ‘it’s because it’s a 2021 model’. Wanting to keep my warranty, I paid up like a mug. The car is fantastic…but I will NEVER buy another Skoda!!
  7. Thanks for your response, and others for theirs. I've looked at the invoice and it is as roottoot set out, an oil and inspection service which cost £181. I guess this year's service should be the same plus the filter. On looking at the list of checks carried out I have just noticed, belatedly, that the front pads were 10mm and the discs 23mm and the rear pads 9mm and discs 8mm. Would this not have given rise to a suspicion at the garage that the rear brakes were binding to result in such a discrepancy, bring this to my attention and suggest a remedy?
  8. My Kamiq 1.5 manual is 2 years old next month and has done 8k miles to date. In October last year I had the first oil change and inspection service done. This year my local garage is quoting me £340+ for a 2 year/24k mile oil/inspection service with a (required, according to them) cabin air filter change. I see that this outlet and others near me quote £220 for a 2 year/24k mile (elapsed) inspection/filter service for 3+ year old cars. Am I correct in thinking, in Sarf Lunnon parlance, that they are legging me over?
  9. I have one of each of these boot protectors/liners. The fitted rubber one is great but there is a problem with the waterproofing of the one which protects the seat backs and has a flap for the sill. I had loaded my Kamiq with garden waste and found the local tip was shut, and being idle left the waste in overnight. It leaked, the fitted rubber mat stopped water penetration to the boot floor but the other liner absorbed the waste water oozing out from the garden clippings and several scrubs later it still stank, as did the car. I’m lucky I had a good crop of lavender this year which has at least killed the sour grass smell in the car; I’ve scrapped the liner!
  10. Epsom to Southbourne return in the last week. 30mph short distance either end, mostly motorway or fast A roads the rest. !08 or so miles, 62 mpg going down, (it's downhill to the south coast!), 58 coming back.
  11. Last week in my 1.5 tsi manual Kamiq I did 320 miles from a full tank - Epsom to Tetbury via M25/M4 and minor roads, pootled about for a couple of days then down to friends in Wells on A roads, via Bath which isn't to be recommended. Then back home via A303/M3/M25. Observed posted speed limits and the average was 56 mpg according to the Kamiq's undoubtedly optimistic reckoning. I was quite impressed, better than my previous 4wd Tiguan.
  12. Hope you have a better experience than I had, Cestrian! https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/491345-kamiq-boot-leak/ Make sure your dealer fitted any grommet seals needed. My camera is the same as yours. Enjoy your Kamiq.
  13. Be sure to check that your SE has the height-adjustable passenger seat. My stock SE, Oct 2020 bought, 2021 model doesn’t have it and it really bugs me, and my wife especially so.
  14. My 1.5se does have it. From memory, if you press the knurled knob on the right of the steering wheel when ‘eco’ is showing, it tells you if your engine is operating in two-cylinder mode.
  15. On a previous thread I remarked that my 1.5 se was only giving me low 30’s mpg having been used mainly for short 8 mile commutes with lots of stop/start. Now, after 3,500 miles of much more mixed driving I read just over 50 mpg. It helps that i found the long term figure rather than the short term journey figure!!! We live, drive and learn!
