  1. Nope the weather has been alright here, just the occasional rain. I did rinse the car 4 times for decontaminating prior to a fresh wax so it may have been too much water at some point. Guess I just need to be more careful and use less water in the future.
  2. Thanks guys, looks like headlight removal is the way to go to find out what happened. I poured lots of water over/around it in the hope seeing some go in but no luck.
  3. Thanks for replying! I had a look at the back again and nothing seems out of place compared to the other side. It seems like water dropped in from the corner right above the dipped light but I can't figure out how. Any idea what I should be looking for at the back of top? https://imgur.com/a/hVq2l5W Thanks
  4. I had something similar. Creaking noise over speed bumps in the winter and front suspension noise at low speeds while manoeuvring like when parking. Like you there was no play and MOT passed without any issues. Had it checked and fixed under warranty as there was a TPI about it. The dealer just greased some bushes and everything has been silent for over a year.
  5. Hi All, I just noticed the driver's side headlamp on my car has a big stain on the inside, not sure if it's just dried soap or if the plastic itself has stained. I've read a few posts about people getting condensation but haven't seen anything like mine. I used a garden hose for a hand wash the other week but didn't really notice it at the time. I had a look at the assembly but couldn't figure where the water could have gotten in from. The car hasn't had any bumps and the headlamp looks undamaged too. Looking inside I could see a couple of spots where I think the water dropped from. I guess there isn't any way to clean it but is there something I should be checking or avoiding to prevent it from happening again?
  6. Assuming you have the same microswitch issue as others, what happens is that even though the gear selector is in P, the car thinks it's in another position and gives an error. Some people have had luck with a temporary fix by moving the selector back and forth about 50 times. Try it and you might be able to start your car until you get the part replaced.
  7. I had the error message 'workshop error leave vehicle only in position p' come up twice on a drive only once in June. Dealer scanned it the next week for free and said it's gonna need a new gear selector mechanism. This was on a 17 plate facelift model and the repair was done under warranty (approved used). Don't know why some dealers are telling people to keep an eye on it or saying they didn't find any logged faults.
