Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
Ordered my 1.5 DSG Sportline in October 2021 with anticipated delivery of July, according to the lease company, the car is allegedly scheduled to have a build date of w/c 12th September. interesting to see if that comes to fruition.

Jealous I didn’t think of this myself! when I ordered my Kodiaq, the Santa Fe, Tarraco and Kodiaq were all coming out at about the same monthlies and the only thing that made me plump for the Skoda was that it was only for 24 months and not 48 months. as well as the ability to order 12 months in advance, which is now certainly looking like not sufficiently advance enough!

Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?
I ordered mine through Nationwide last October. The anticipated delivery time was July. I was banking on the car being late, my current lease doesn’t end until October of this year. my fear/ paranoia is that my Kodiaq won’t ever be built, obviously if it’s not been built by summer then I suspect they’ll be moving to MY23 and I think there will really be no chance that my car will materialise. as for plan B, I have no idea, the original shortlist was Santa Fe/ Tarraco/ Kodiaq, the Tarraco has similar supply issues to the Kodiaq, the Santa Fe has risen in price to more than I’d be willing to pay. likelihood is if/ when it’s definitive that Kodiaq won’t materialise, I’ll scale things back and go for something like a Corolla estate which seems to be available at a semi decent price and you can actually get your hands on them. I currently have an Octavia estate, does the month to month informal extension only work if your new car has been funded by VWFS or is it simply if you have a new VW group car on order? My Kodiaq is funded via ALD rather than VWFS

That colour is stunning! I was totally torn between meteor and race blue, the deciding factor was purely because blue is my 4 year olds favourite colour. part of me wishing I’d been more selfish!

Roof bars - what do you have?
As I only use roof bars a maximum of about 5/ 6 times per year, I didn't see the point in spending £100's on a set. picked these up for just under £85 Modula Black Roof Bars for Skoda Octavia Estate 2020 - 2022 | DriveDen accommodate my roof box perfectly and having never had a set of bars before and not being a particularly 'handy' type, I find these very easy to fit and remove, a genuine 5 min job. the Octavia will be going back in about 6 months time and I'll be getting a similar set for the Kodiaq (if it's ever built)

Usb-c slow phone charging
I have an iPhone and have always been impressed at how quickly it charges via the USB-C!

Roof bars help
You could well be right regarding bike carriers, however it’s only a roof box I’ll be using it with and even then I’ll be lucky to use them half a dozen times

Roof bars help
Yep, I got them. They look like they’ll do me just fine, easy to fit and take my roofbox easily and securely. Good buy for the price!

Roof bars help
Just an update, as I’m already 10 months into a 24 months lease, and with a baby due any time, I decided to not bother spending £150 to get Thule feet and fitting kit to fit the bars I already had, especially as I’ll be lucky if I’ll need to use roof bars half a dozen times over next year in a bit. I managed to find a set of cheap and cheerful Modula ones for £80 delivered that’ll do the job I need them to do! https://www.driveden.com/product/modula-oval-aluminium-black-roof-bars-to-fit-skoda-octavia-estate-mk4-2020-2021-closed-roof-rail-7083

Roof bars help
I have a the estate and have been gifted a set of Thule roof bars by my father in law that he used on his Hyundai i40 estate a few years ago. he has given me a foot pack which are labelled as as being for cars with flush roof rails - ‘rapid system 753’ according to the Thule website the compatible system for the mk IV estate is the 720600 foot pack and fitting kit 186096. my question(s) is(are): could I use the 753 rapid system on my car? if so, could I buy fitting kit 186096 and use in conjunction with that foot pack or would I have to buy a different fitting kit to use alongside the rapid system 753 or is it a case that I just need to fork out for the 186096 fitting kit and 720600 foot pack? Apologies as total novice when it comes to roof bars!

Slabs in boot
Thanks for all the responses, luckily we got more in the van we had with us that we initially thought so thankfully only three needed to go in the car, folded seats flat and laid evenly, but yes, I wouldn’t have wanted any more than 5/6 in there!

Slabs in boot
I’ll have help there is a separate vehicle so lifting them won’t be an issue, if it’s only 5 that’s fine, just means an extra trip!

Slabs in boot
I don’t have the variable floor so should be ok for a bit more

Slabs in boot
I am picking up 3x2 ft concrete slabs and was wondering what the maximum I’d be able to load into the rear of the car. I’ll be travelling alone in the car so the slabs will be the only weight carried other than me. I was thinking the likely limit would be about 6 or 7 max but wondered if anyone had a more qualified answer? Should add it’s the estate/ combi version of the Octavia I have

Floor Mats - Question
My leased SE Tech came with carpet mats, however, after 1 week the car looked like it had been to the Somme, so decided to get some rubber ones, went to local dealer and got a set of mats for £65 and £45 for plastic estate boot tray. £120 is quite steep however I reckon I’ll get some of that back in a couple years time when the car goes back

Are you happy with the new infotainment system?
The infotainment system isn’t great. I don’t know if this issue is with Apple or Skoda, but CarPlay is very glitchy, occasionally the lag between pressing the screen and the action being done is horrendous and sometimes the screen just goes black when you select CarPlay and won’t work until car is switched off and on again. I had CarPlay in my previous cars which were a Mazda 3 fastback, and in my old work Kia Soul EV, it was a little glitchy in them but not as bad as it is in the Skoda My Octavia is a lease and I only have the car for two years, the space and practicality is amazing but the other stuff is liveable for the two years I’ll have it, but not sure I would be happy if I knew I’d have to keep it for a longer period of time

Skoda connect
I popped to my Dealer today and got my account verified, I still can't lock or unlock through the app. It's not a big deal, however annoying none the less that the car won't do something you were advised that it was meant to!
