New record for mileage on a single tank of fuel.
I thought I did pretty well to get 957 miles from a tank in mine (1.5 eTSI), but that's another level altogether!

Has anyone purchased a 2025 Skoda Superb and experienced a malfunction?
Echo exactly what John625 said - picked mine up in December, a couple of minor niggles although nothing serious enough to take it in for fixing yet. Great car, and the petrol 1.5 eTSI version is incredibly economical (around as good my Audi A2 1.4 petrol was in 2001) once you learn how to drive and coast in the the most efficient manner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it based on my own experience.

Constant creaking and rattling from Boot
As your car is a Mark 3 I'll ask the mods to move this thread to that forum where you should get more replies. And welcome btw!

Used superb - what to look out for
You'll be looking at a Mk3 Superb and this is the Mk4 forum - I've flagged for a moderator to move to the Mk3 forum where you should get more responses.

Additional ambient lighting colours
I've got the full version - £25 (UK) one-off payment. Initially it wouldn't let me change the colours at all, but after the car had been off for the day it started working - the colour bars are now more detailed and all 30 colours are available for both the LED strips and the other ambient lighting. Can't see any other differences.

Hatchback rear wiper
I find it necessary on my hatch to be honest - I have a dislike of not being able to see through the rear window clearly, and the natural airflow over the rear screen, even at speed (both Mk3 and Mk4), isn't enough to dislodge most of the water.

Order and delivery times for MK4 Superb
Update on my original post - car was built on 20 November (order placed with dealer in July) and delivery to me is this week.

*Skoda Superb PHEV to be banned from sale from 2030?*
Nothing to worry about at all - any cars already on the road won't be affected, as these deadlines will only apply to the sale of new cars. If anything the residual value of used petrol cars will be better as the availability of new cars will diminish sharply over the coming years, depending on exactly how the government decides to adjust the phase-out plan. Bear in mind as well that 2030 is six years away, and by that time there will have been a mid-life revision of any cars that are currently being sold so I suspect Skoda will have revised the powertrain line-up in accordance with any new rules well in advance.

Change it for an IV
That's going to be a Mk3 (MkIII) model so I've asked for the thread to be moved to that forum where you'll get more visibility. This is the forum for the Mk4 (MkIV) model just launched, not for the iV designated hybrids generally!

Order and delivery times for MK4 Superb
I thought it might be worth comparing and updating our order dates and expected build weeks and delivery dates (if known). Obviously there will be differences according to body style, engine, trim and extras, and country of delivery, shipping arrangements, and date when ordered from the dealer, so listing all the information should make the comparisons more useful. For starters, my details: Hatch, 1.5 eTSI, SE Tech (with winter pack, rear wiper, metallic blue, lounge interior). Ordered from dealer in United Kingdom (Essex) late July 2024, still waiting for confirmation of planned build week and therefore no estimated delivery date.

Departure planner problems
You're posting in the wrong section (this Mk IV forum is for the fourth generation of the Superb that is not yet on the road) - you need to post in Superb Mk III, as in the third generation of the car, iV being the designation for the hybrid version that you have - understandably confusing!

Superb mk4 Launch info and video
I guess I misunderstood what you meant by the line "Rumors and to be honest - bad ones" then! I do know that in the UK the pricing is likely to mean most versions apart of the base engine and spec being hit with the "luxury car" tax supplement, which seems a rather odd concept to someone familiar with Skoda cars from the 1980s...

Superb mk4 Launch info and video
Those may be the initial versions to go on sale, with the other engines and specs following progressively as production ramps up to full capacity - I'm sure it has already been mentioned that the estate is first to be built with the hatch following a few months afterwards. Who are the "they say" rumours from in this context?

Travel Assists and SOS faulty
I frequently had the random SOS error since the day after delivery in March 2021 (plus Travel Assist and a whole series of other spurious errors with the assist systems), but those have all disappeared with a software update at the dealer last month. Interestingly the errors were almost all happening only when I was driving in the UK (I've probably done around 30% of my mileage abroad) and quite often at around the same geographical location, so I wonder if it's possibly connected in some way with the UK mobile network connection protocols being different to those on the continent. The only two times it happened outside of the UK were within a few miles of the German-Dutch border at two different locations.

preventing a flat battery caused by stupidity
I can confirm that running one medium-sized cool box (3.5A, 40W, 12V) for 14 hours is certainly enough to drain a fully-charged battery in an almost-new car to the point where there isn't enough electricity to start the engine in a car park in Inverness - you might be able to extrapolate from that looking at the power ratings of your equipment 😐
-
12v socket in boot
I found out the hard way last summer that it doesn't shut off the power to the boot socket, at least on mine, when I left a cool box plugged in overnight by mistake - fortunately I was in a city and the AA were quick to come and resolve my shortage of electricity 😀

To be fair, you also couldn't find the torch as it was dark 🙂

MIB3 - No sound
Yes, same here - random failures of various features and transient warnings.

Superb Sportline DSG 190ps TSI petrol MPG
Good spot Mike, I had forgotten to update my profile since I joined - now done! Those figures are what I've got in the Superb, although are remarkably similar to what I was previously getting in the Golf which was a 1.4 TSI. I should also mention those are the 'real' figures calculated from refueling - I've found the trip computer calculations to be around 6% too optimistic on average (which again is in line with the figures from the Golf - it's surprising that with precisely measured fuel injection these readings are not a bit more accurate). Interesting you mention about the Up which is what I also had a few years ago for commuting (one car with a tiny boot, one with a huge boot), and averaged 52 mpg on the typical daily commute (8 miles town driving, 48 miles motorway). I replaced the Up with a Fiesta which returned almost identical figures to the Golf, and now a Fiat 124 which has slightly worse fuel economy than the Superb!

Superb Sportline DSG 190ps TSI petrol MPG
My best average is around 54 mpg on a mixture of motorway and fast A road, and more typical consumption is in the range 44-46 mpg with some town driving thrown in. Worst was 39 mpg which included 8 miles taking two hours in a traffic jam. It's very much the case that if you can keep the momentum going and average 55-65mph it's a pretty efficient car despite the size and weight.

Increase in size of fuel tank
I've refilled with 73.6 litres when the indicated range had just dropped to 0 miles - MY21 2.0 TSI L&K in the UK. Surprised me a bit because I've never got near filling to a tank's labelled capacity in any of my previous cars!
-
ACC - Does your brake pedal move?
Yes, it's meant to do that - I had a Golf 7.5 before and it was a bit unnerving when it happened in the Superb!

Seat comfort for shorter drivers....
I'm 5'7" and I've had no trouble at all - new L&K auto delivered at the end of March and I've done just over 2,000 miles including a few two-hour drives. I've got the seat quite far forward and high, steering wheel at the highest position and it feels exactly right for me. However, my backside is fairly wide(!) and I don't know whether that might make a difference compared to your slim frame - mine fits the seat perfectly so there's no sideways movement when cornering. I would say if you get the chance for a test drive try some heavy cornering to make sure you feel adequately laterally supported.
