  1. Skoda app requires the trip screen to be active on the mobile , for the trips to record where as the Skoda lite (which is older and less advanced) does not require the app to be active to record trips- why is this regression , I wonder ?
  2. @peps1 What are the issues you are experiencing with the Bosch aero twin blades?
  3. https://m.oemvwshop.com/5wa035284-control-unit-for-online-services-p2292884/ looks like it might work for karoq too.
  4. Yes it’s not acceptable at all!
  5. On this seems to be the online control unit https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/22036047039?iid=133350511720 Could this be the one that is responsible for the remote connectivity!!
  6. Isn’t that fixed in my 21 karoq?
  7. ever since I bought the karoq i stopped hitting more than 70 mph. max i would have done is 75 ish. the tyres are so sensitive to the road imperfections that its impossible to get a smooth ride on the motorway. Where as, i could easily hit 78 on my previous i30 without any jolts in the cabin.
  8. Hi @Carlston i have 225/40R19. i will opt for 225/45 when i change the tyres. thanks a lot for the info!
  9. Hi @SurreyJohn! thanks for coming back. i wonder if DCC could be retrofitted?
  10. I hope you all had a relatively good Christmas, under the circumstances. Just wondering if the ride quality (especially on those small road imperfections) be improved on the sport-line model? I have reduced tyre pressure but found only marginal improvement.
  11. Replaced the standard wiper blades with the twin aero , really a huge difference. Noise is completely gone! a big thank you for every one contributed!
  12. I put 0 when I had the same confusion. It worked.
  13. It’s pretty much a plug and play device . All you have to do is to open the app and follow on screen step, which includes keying in the device code and establishing the connection . If the mobile has already been used in the car via Bluetooth earlier , you don’t even need to link again .
  14. Aero twins it is then! thanks a lot for the suggestion!
  15. May be they did. Looks my stars haven’t aligned properly during the time I ordered my car, lol. I will refer to horoscope before I order my next, which is 4 years from now anyway .
  16. But I have had 2 hiccups with the MIB2 Amusden system too. The CarPlay cut it self 20 mins into my journey in more than 2 instances. Not sure I need to do a factory reset?
  17. Mate I am already feeling depressed for the stupid mistake I have done, so please don’t remind me that again! lol , just kidding! My Skoda was made in July of 2020, so very unfortunately it falls in to MY20 category. So I have MIB2 system with out any of these fancy stuff! I should have waited for a month and got the post September 2020 model.
  18. Hello chaps , I was wondering if any of you guys had any success with the likes of cplay2air dongle or any other reliable brands. Any thoughts suggestions much appreciated!
  19. my karoq sportline blades seem to jitter and slip a lot from the beginning. i was hoping the problem would go away with usage, but no luck till date. any thought, ideas would be grealy appretiated.
  20. So there has to be a data sim connection some where built in.
  21. cool mate! looks like you have found the one! well done!
  22. Couldn’t find any info on Skoda - star gate.
  23. Just upgraded the iOS Skoda connect app. I cannot see the previous mySkoda features any more . Stuff like mileage , fuel capacity , battery voltage is missing. All I see is trip planner, log book and service partner. Skoda lite with data plug module seems to provide more info than the new app .
