dealing with sticky wiper blades on a relatively new karoq

Featured Replies

my karoq sportline blades seem to jitter and slip a lot from the beginning. i was hoping the problem would go away with usage, but no luck till date.

any thought, ideas would be grealy appretiated.

There are several threads on this. Some people advocate cleaning the glass with this or that but the general consensus is that you need the Bosch Aerotwin wipers.........

+1.

Bosch Aerotwin.

My original rear wiper judders according to how cold it is. No real problem with the fronts.

I use VAG washer fluid and when the screen gets greasy I clean it with white vinegar.

The best fix for this is bosch aerotwin a 684 s for the front wipers and bosh a 331 h for the rear wiper both my sportline and my dads SE L had judders and sticky wipers and the bosch wipers fix it

Mind that for the Continent it's Bosch Aerotwin A863S (and A331H for the rear).

Have they changed them on the MY21? After reading this forum I thought i would need to order some Bosch Aerotwins but the wipers on my new car are deathly silent.

May be they did. Looks my stars haven’t aligned properly during the time I ordered my car, lol.

I will refer to horoscope before I order my next, which is 4 years from now anyway .

Yeah as all the other posts say, the only fix is new blades. The Original ones are plain crap. I’ve just got the Bosch aerotwins recommended above.

Replaced the standard wiper blades with the twin aero , really a huge difference. Noise is completely gone!

a big thank you for every one contributed!

I will be doing this soon, passenger side is smooth, drivers side skips across the screen.

What is it with Skoda wiper blades - in excess of £30K  for my Scout and virtually immediately had to replace the front wiper blades now @ only 3K miles the rear wiper is making an awful scraping noise, obviously made worse by the colder weather but it wasn`t cold when the fronts were doing the same.

Is it just down to poor quality if so it shouldn`t be!

It isn’t just Skoda but more a supplier issue as my Cupra suffered the same problems.

Isn’t that fixed in my 21 karoq?

My last new Ford and Mazda likewise my daughters new Mini were judder free I have replaced numerous blades using everything from cheapish to expensive blades and never had a problem with any of them.

A quick search suggests its a VW group problem.

Yes it’s not acceptable at all!

I resisted for 18 months. Covid helped. :)

At least it’s a cheap fix.  It is a bit annoying binning a virtually new set of blades but nowhere near as annoying as the racket they made.

Remplacés par des bosch twin aero aujourd'hui.

Plus de problème :)

Using Google translate our friend in Belgium appears to be saying he replaced his wipers with the Aerotwins today and has no more problems......
