  1. Following this as I have similar behaviour. The clutch has recently become intermittently 'soft', ie the pedal doesnt spring back to the top and stays at about half travel. I have also had the 'clicking' noise and feel from the clutch pedal on cold mornings. Sounds like the same age/model, now 52k miles and bought at c. 30k, dealer replaced the clutch to try and fix the 'clicking' at purchase.
  2. The answer may be in the Android Auto Wireless requirements, https://support.google.com/androidauto/answer/6348019?hl=en#zippy=%2Candroid-auto-on-your-car-display-wireless, which says it needs 5Ghz - which the A20 doesnt have. So although AAWireless tries to set up with 2.4Ghz, I suspect Wireless isnt turned on in the Android Auto app without 5Ghz
  3. Tried one these the other day and couldnt get it to work. The issue seems to be the version of Android and, within that, whether some specific features are supported on the phone. I have a Huawei with 9.0, it took some digging to find that the issue is probably a lack of support for Wireless in Android Auto. Turning On developer mode and rebooting kills Android Auto completely, wouldnt connect by cable at all. Also tried a Samsung A20 with 11.0 installed, much smoother but still didnt connect - Android Auto still didnt have the Wireless option to select so I'm guessing that was the issue. According to AAWireless, Android 11 should just work - no caveats as with earlier versions. So, if I'm to replace my phone what can I expect to work ? (at a reasonable price - say up to £200)
  4. Presumably this is accessible from inside the car ? What check could be done
  5. Picking up an old thread.... The symptoms described fit whats happening with my 36k '67 reg 1.4 TSi. Occasionally the clutch pedal will move down about an inch, give a metallic click with a slight detente on the travel then carry on and operate normally. This can happen from the start of a trip or develop during the trip, it will be noticeable for anything from 5-10 clutch operations to being present for an hour or so. Not noticed it being more present in cold weather. I bought the car a year ago and noticed this on test drive, the dealer changed the clutch before pickup - that was thier choice, the car had evidence of heavy clutch use (hole in carpet under pedal, free mats fitted). The symptom has continued on and off through the last year. Its been back to the dealer several times, finally theyve changed the clutch/release bearing again (warranty) but it hasnt completely cured the problem though its much reduced. The clutch was changed because they believed the release bearing wasnt operating correctly, again thier choice. My concern now is whether the symptom as described is likely to be causing a degradation of clutch operation ? or anyone has any idea of the likely cause
  6. Hi All - havent quite bought the Ocativia yet so looking for advice. I'm looking at a 67 plate car that doesnt have the Nav option. How usable is the connection with an Android phone in general and, specifically, for nav using the Info system display ? Thanks
