Thanks for this. Is a condenser replacement an expensive do?

I have an AC leak. Is there a way of knowing if it is the compressor?
Hi guys I got my Fabia regassed on Thursday but it hasn't held pressure which suggests a leak. I looked at the engine bay floor two days later and I could see the spillage. Worst case scenario cost wise is a compressor replacement. How likely is it to be the compressor and how could I tell that the issue? Also, are there common places that Freon will leak from? Thanks in advance

Replacing facia plates around fans
Hi folks I opened up the facia panels around the fans in the centre to gain access as I wanted to feed a wire down the back from the radio but when I have put to panels back in, the clips have snapped off. Will I need to get the new part ordered from Skoda themselves and how much will this cost?

I have dropped the rubber cover for a sidelight into the engine bay...
I did this and found it! Then, I dropped it again and had to repeat. It was a nightmare. Thanks guys

I have dropped the rubber cover for a sidelight into the engine bay...
How worried should I be about this? I can't see it on the engine bay floor. I worry it is hidden within the wheel arch in which case it would be irretrievable without a mechanic attacking it.

Particulate filter, management and glow plug lights on.
I had this exact same issue 18 months ago. I drove in 4th gear to Liverpool from Preston and the light wouldn't clear. Got the garage to look at it. He said there wasn't a problem, cleared the faults and charged me nothing. To this day I've had no issue since. Second opinion is the way forward

New to the forum and need some help :(
Try calling skoda directly for a quote on a rear bumper. I had this issue with my front bumper back in summer and had to get a garage to mend it at the cost of an arms and a leg

Heater not working correctly
They will have to strip out a fair bit of the dashboard to get to it. It may be more cost effective to do it yourself. It happened to my car years back but wasn't as confident as I am now to do stuff.

Heater not working correctly
This is because the resistor has failed. There is a guide somewhere to do a DIY fix but does require a lot of time and patience to get it fixed.

Can I use a universal OBD II reader on a Fabia or do I need one VAG specific?
I think this is what has happened. I have got a cheap OBD reader now to clear it which I haven't yet tried. Next jobs on my list is a complete coolant flush, oil and filter change, antenna base replacement and a closer look at the air intake hose

Can I use a universal OBD II reader on a Fabia or do I need one VAG specific?
As the title says really. I removed my front seat and unclipped the the sensor underneath. This has left a permanent seat belt warning on the dash but I know full well everything was re-fitted perfectly. That just leaves me with needing a code reader to clear it. Can I get a universal one or is there a specific one I need for the VAG group cars?

Thank for everyone so much for the support. I am enjoying my Christmas break working on the car and want the lubrication system working as best as possible.

Once I empty the sump, how much oil do I need to replenish?
Hi everyone I have been searching high and low for the answer to this but I can not get anywhere. Once I drain the oil sump, when I replenish the oil how much exactly do I need to put in? The model is 2008 tdi 1.4 80hp Greenline Thanks in advance
