Crazy and frustrating - Order May 25 build week 41! Perhaps its the DSG, Park assist or sun blinds that are making the difference!!

Would be nice to have similar photos with the elegance spec in the same colour - to see what I am going to get!

I was on wk 35 originally and now wk 41 for DSG elegance 140 - ordered may 25th..... :(

From my dealer today - he gave me a build week of 35 in July I guess their production isn't being ramped enough. Question: Can a dealer mod the spec before a build week - eg Would they offer a free upgrade of an option eg heated windscreen in return for the inconvenience?

Winchester and on to Stroud....here's hoping but based on Gordon ordering his end of April and getting delivery tomorrow and mine being mid May - I have a horrible feeling they are going to delay me further According to the dealer they give a build week and "Usually", it then takes 3 weeks to traverse the North Sea to Sheerness, then transported to the dealership, where they can turn it around within 48 hours and deliver to me....

Look forward to seeing the photos. Mine allegedly had a build week of last week so hopefully getting closer....Maybe even en-route - who knows!?!!!

Wow...if that IS correct about the iPhone rSap update I will be over the moon and rarely use a brolly - particularly one in such a bizarre location for the driver . I will read all about common rails.... Wonder if my decision to go 140 rather than 170 (car tax reasons) will be wise....My previous 140bhp DSG L&K octy estate was fine anyway! Can someone tell me what the difference is between the 140PD and the 140CR - My order was placed mid May for build week of 30aug - I wonder being that its been so long in actually getting built whether it will be the same engine and whether it will have all the accessories etc that were in the April/May brochures. Its the DSG Elegance 140 in Steel Grey fwiw

I wrote to Skoda customer services and here is their response. Thank you for your email dated 25 May 2010, regarding the connectivity of mobile phones on Skoda Cars. I have attached a document which shows you all those phones that are presently compatible with the Bluetooth system on our range of Skoda Cars. At present I can confirm that not all Blackberry's will pair up and none of the Iphones will pair. This issue has been brought to the Factory's attention as we are obviously aware of the importance for hands free mobile connectivity. We are now investigating a solution to resolving this particular issue and I would like to suggest that you keep in close contact with your Retailer regarding any updates. As you know, the mobile phone market is very fast moving: both software and a number of different Bluetooth technologies are updated by the phone manufacturers continually. It is therefore not always possible to provide compatibility for all mobile phone handsets. We liaise with our supplier, on a regular basis to ensure they are aware of the requirements for mobile phone users in the UK. I have made a note of your comments which will be helpful in providing up to date customer feedback regarding the use of mobile phones with the latest Skoda models. HTH edward
