Used to have winter tyres on steelies 2 cars ago. Haven't had them since, always tempted to get another set of them but storing them and the cost keeps putting me off. If I see a cheap enough set on here I'll do it.

I like the alloys although if I could've chosen smaller I would've. Cheaper rubber and less risk of damage on Cumbrian roads 😂

Guessing everyone knows that pressing and holding the power button will do a proper reset on the infotainment. Hold for about 15 seconds. Had to do mine yesterday when Android auto wasn't playing any sound. My old car went through a phase of needing resetting daily for about a week then all was well. No exterior intervention needed.

Thanks Scot. I do mean dip in reverse. Dealer expected it too as well and shown me how to do it in the infotainment on the be SEL they've got in the showroom. Definitely not an option on the vRS. Very odd.

I'm not sure it can read media from the USB. Worth checking the manual

Looking at the manual dip on reverse comes with electric seats so the vRS doesn't have it. Happy to be corrected but I can't find it anywhere

Wing mirror doesn't dip in reverse like I expected it to. I notice in the shop there's an ambient lighting pack. Any idea what it does when I can set it to any colour anyway?

I'm really not sure the car supports wireless Android auto. Anyone got a picture of their smart link screen and it working wirelessly? To be honest I'm happy plugging it in. Keeps the phone charged then too

Thought I'd properly say hello. Recently joined and picked up my vRS today. Few pictures of it in the dark. Silver petrol DSG estate. No options really as it was ready built and in country. Really impressed with the interior lights (except the glove box) and the exterior ones!

I picked mine up today. Had a good play and can't see anything. The golf R I test drove it came on when you put it in race mode. Is there a mode missing when we don't have DCC?

Some of them don't fully dip but instead blank out the oncoming car. Very clever stuff

I turned start stop off with Carista on my old car. Not got the Octavia yet, next week hopefully, and I'll be looking to do the same if it's an option on Carista

I found an angled USB c to micro usb cable on Amazon. Got a Garmin mini dash camera for the Octavia when it comes next week. Can't wait to get it set up
