  1. Dealer says they can’t spec any either, and oddly for an SEL for example what they can search is showing as a 1.4tsi 150 (ie non iV), not a 1.5. Be interesting to see when they come back on sale what has changed.
  2. Is it bought or leased? If leased go to the lease company and make it their problem, that’s how I got mine sorted so quickly. Skoda customer services / dealer couldn’t care less, VWFS stepped in and within a week I had various options / offers. None of them fixed the car, but there were various incentives put on the table, in the end I chose to get shut and order something else.
  3. Yep my car was an absolute disaster area. I’m not surprised VWFS took it back so eagerly though (even returned my deposit pro Rata) as they knew it would be straight in to the dealer network as an approved used car and in current climate would sell for loads.
  4. My returned 2020 SE Tech was put on a Skoda main dealer forecourt within days for £24k.
  5. Mine has been collected this morning, no doubt will be on a forecourt in about a week. More new issues over last couple of weeks including two activations of emergency braking for no reason at all, and a complete failure of the instrument panel (not the infotainment screen) and a red EML. BMW 128ti ordered as replacement.
  6. Nope. Hate it. Fortunately the lease company have upheld my complaint and it’s being collected 2 weeks today and I’ll be shut of it. On top of all the other issues, tonight it has developed the popping noise and then activated the sos emergency system. Then as soon as I dropped someone off in the centre of Manchester (which I’m unfamiliar with) CarPlay and Satnav packed in, seemingly triggered by someone getting out of the back door, leaving me with no clue where I was going. Anyway I’ve ordered a new car, definitely not from VAG. The only positive was how helpful VWFS have been in the last couple of weeks. I feel sorry for the poor person who is going to buy this car used.
  7. Talking to the lease company has done the trick, they called today with 2 options, both very good, and I’m incredibly happy that they have stepped in to sort it for me.
  8. I suspect Simpsons will be getting mine back soon, case currently with Skoda UK case manager. I’ve mentioned this potential theory before, but it’s been hot here the last few days and it is playing up more than usual again. Exactly same thing happened when we had a hot spell in July, literally every day there were multiple issues with it. Might just be coincidence, but if the hardware is struggling to stay cool that could explain some of the issues. Exactly the same as with a PC or laptop when they get hot, the performance is impacted.
  9. Yep I suspect the older units are lower spec and therefore prone to more software issues, so replacing the hardware is the logical solution. They won’t want to do that too often though as it will cost them.
  10. Yep the dealers go to great lengths to make out that you’re a special case 😂. They know full well you don’t believe a word they say. I just straight laughed at them when they tried it with me. Waiting for VWFS to come back to me about my car, it’s still not fixed so as owners of the car I’m making it their problem.
  11. I never use the in car satnav, only either apple or google maps via CarPlay. When CarPlay is working properly that is!
  12. Yep has been in 3 times now for a long list of software issues, have had the car since new in October 2020. This was their last chance to sort before I contact the lease company (fortunately it’s Skoda Lease / VWFS rather than an independent) to ask them to get involved. I suspect you are right and the software is as up to date as the hardware allows, so only changing the hardware will resolve the issues. To be honest though I’m happy it’s a lease car and only on a 24 month lease so I can give it back in just over 12 months. If I owned the car I’d be a lot more upset about it.
  13. I’m sure that detail was populated before it went in for the update. It’s a 1.5tsi se tech estate I think made august or September 2020.
  14. Mine doesn’t have a letter at the end of the device part number. Have had so many issues, latest updates applied by dealer last week (although the software version still seems to be some way behind what others have), still got issues. Next up is a letter to the lease company to complain about the car to see what they will do about it.
  15. This is the same Simpsons Skoda service dept who told me on Monday when I picked mine up they’ve fixed every car which has been in for these issues and nobody has come back to them with any issues I guess…
