  1. I'm not sure the car has wireless Android auto. Sorry I'm not sure I can help with the other points. Although 71mpg from a 2.0 diesel? I only managed 44mpg from my last diesel so that's definitely impressive! We too have a MK8 golf and MK4 Octavia. Touch wood both seem largely Ok so far.
  2. I was thinking that. Didn't realise you'd had it that long! AC menu is definitely a bonus. That must be a recent fix
  3. You can set the heated seats to come on automatically. Early adoption means vcds can't be used to disable start stop. All cars have it now so just the downside on jumping on the MK4 early. How often do you really need the matrix lights on? Wouldn't use them about town.
  4. Think I'd be emailing skoda copying in watchdog.
  5. Keep pushing guys. Really terrible that you're having these issues and they need sorting especially when they are part of paid for options. Even if they offered refunds for the paid option it would be a start. I'm guessing they can't be recalibrated.
  6. Definitely needs a new thread. What else can be done? Think I'm buying obd11 soon.... I didn't think anything could be done on the MK4 though so this is definitely good.
  7. Surely driving a LHD car in the UK long term has disadvantages. No easy way of selling the car in France and buying a new one in the UK? Otherwise new dash might be the answer, unless it can be changed with VCDS or similar.
  8. In mine there's options to change the units to mph etc. Under headlights there's also the option of left/ right hand drive. I've seen a few members on here saying their UK car doesn't have these options though! Mines a vRS with digital dash. To be honest I'm not sure I'd want to use a left hand drive car permanently in the UK. Got to cost more to insure etc.
  9. Not found any serious issues with mine which I picked up January this year.
  10. I was about to say is this now Vantage. Just bought my car from them and no issues at all. Would use them again.
  11. Really does sound like your car is set up to never be in the UK. No mph and lights dazzling drivers. Reading a lot of this worries me too as I've barely used my car, so any faults I might find could be months down the line when rejection isn't an issue. Hopefully you'll get them sorted one way or another.
  12. I'm in the UK and don't have it. I've emailed Skoda through the app store about it not working. Everything suggests it should work. Czech side were quick to reply. It's been passed to Skoda UK who as yet haven't replied in three days.
  13. I contacted such a company yesterday who basically said sorry we can't do anything with the MK4 yet. Be interested to see how you get on Ultrarunner
  14. You can buy a decent set of gloves for £100 😂 As above though I'd be seeing how much it is to add and asking for that back. Plus maybe a little more for the inconvenience of having to go through this
  15. That would be good I'll volunteer to try it if you all pay me 😂
  16. Same in the UK. £44 for additional colours. No idea what it adds, how many more can you need?
  17. Guessing this is done with VCDS. Anyone know of places in the UK offering this. When lockdown is over obviously
  18. There's no option to turn it on though is there? How do you turn it on? I've only got Carista.
  19. Be interested to know how you get on. I'd like beep on locking activated.
  20. I'm hoping it'll be an option but think it'll be a while before we see anything on easy to use platforms like Carista
  21. You know what I'm really missing. My Passat had a foot rest both sides. Clutch and accelerator. Great when you're in automatic cruise. Definitely following this one though.
  22. Maybe not allowed to drive it because of the lockdown in the UK? That's the way I'm feeling 😭
  23. Definitely need to name and shame the tuner. Sounds like they've done a lot of damage to your car. Hopefully you'll get it sorted.
