  1. Why not? And the new Karoq doesn't have the detachable torch. My Octavia had a light each side which was ample. The karoq just had one on the driver's side which whilst led wasn't the best.
  2. Thanks. I thought someone must have done it. My boot is like having full daylight in there now 🤣
  3. Did a search but couldn't find much about people upgrading boot lighting in their Karoq. Just added some extra lighting to the boot. Probably overkill but it's a bit brighter now. Before and after pictures attached. I used this led strip And this little extension cable to splice into
  4. Thanks both. I'd try to replace both tyres on the same axle and it's absolutely required in this instance.
  5. I suspect the answer is change all 4... But I'll ask anyway. My front tyres need replacing after 13k miles, tracking is off despite the car being only a year old. Back tyres still have 5mm+ of tread on. Can I just put cross climates on the front? Then change the rears in future? I'm happy to stick to either "summer" or change all 4 but hate the idea of taking off perfectly good tyres for no reason
  6. I miss the size of my Octavia estate. Could swallow so much kit! I like the ride height if the Karoq. I'm no longer worried about bumpy car parks or flooded roads, both of which I encounter fairly often. Personally I'd have another Octavia in a heartbeat if they did the scout version still.
  7. With the all in plan I think the cost of the breakdown and services alone might justify it. You're almost getting the warranty part for free. Of course that's based on main dealer prices. Friend of mine had his water pump done on this warranty to, although the VW counterpart.
  8. I've got the 2.0 tsi 4wd It's for the 225/45 tyres and I find them ok, came from an Octavia vrs though... Don't have lane assist but from other cars I've had with it I don't mind it any I live in Cumbria. Don't have a tow bar or prep as far as I'm aware Sat nav I use android auto and have done for the last 10 years.
  9. Check everything is up to date. I had the same issue with Android auto but about a month ago the car downloaded and installed a large update all by itself. Couldn't be driven for 20 minutes whilst it did the update so you'll know it's doing it.
  10. Really easy to tuck the wire into the trim.

The 4*4 version has 225/45/19 tyres as standard so can't see any issue with fitting those.
  12. Try VW retrofit they offer this sort of thing.
  13. Thanks all, I've filed a claim. Reported it online too. I've actually got a screenshot from a Facebook thread where someone else has said they reported it 4 days before I hit it so fingers crossed. Just so bloody frustrating!
  14. I will be doing. Main concern though is I've no idea how much damage it may have actually done. Tyre is obvious but other things less so.
  15. Very sensible. Should be the same here and I've no idea why it isn't!
  16. An interesting idea John but I'm not sure I'd have much luck. Would 17s with bigger tyres actually be less at risk of damage? I'm inclined to think that but I'm not entirely sure.
  17. Less than 1000 miles off ownership and I lost a tyre to a pothole today 😡 I didn't really want the 19s for that very reason and it annoys me there's no choice with the sportline to downgrade. Some helpful person since put a cone in there, picture for reference.
  18. Anyone had an update on the wireless android auto issue? Mine still disconnects unless I turn the WiFi off before connecting wireless android auto
  19. I wasn't making that mistake. Fitted it in the boot now. Just need the polystyrene for the back but the nets do a good job of making it all look perfect.
  20. Love the matrix headlights. Had them on my Octavia and it was a deal breaker for the Karoq which is why I've got the Sportline. I think the Karoq matrix headlights work just as well as the Octavia. I have no issue with them at all and wouldn't go back.
  21. Why don't you spec the Karoq online and see what the spare wheel is. That's what I did and it was the same spare. My issue is the spare won't fit in the boot. I need the raisers for the boot floor but can't find them online...

Glad you got it fixed. Never had much luck with DAB signals in my previous cars anyway.
  23. I've loved the Octavia and my biggest concern is coming away from an estate and the 245bhp 😉 That said I live in the lakes and the roads are crap and the car parks are even worse so the SUV has its benefits. Not regretting it so far. That photo was Coniston.
  24. I think the usb c is always live in mine. So my Sportline has wireless phone charging but also had the Android auto issue. Turning off WiFi then accessing android auto gets it working for that journey although it cut out a few times. All very odd, anyone any suggestions or fixes? Annoyingly in the past I've found wireless to be more reliable than a wired connection.
  25. Well I looked at the fuses and I think I'm wrong about there being two locations. It must have some sort of voltage cut off though as everything is live even the usb sockets.
