2010 Skoda Superb V6 4x4 Bluetooth unit
Mine is 3C8 035 730D and that one works with android phones for sure. I believe earlier revisions (730A onwards I think) will work as well. But you will have to run a wire from the bluetooth unit to your head unit to get sound from both side speakers. Check the sticky thread on the front page of superb mk2 forum if you haven't already.

Xenon headlight bulb turned red?
I don't disagree. If you're function over form, go for the originals. If you care about the looks, go for the cool blue ones if you want. I haven't noticed significant difference in performance though, so IMO it comes down to price and personal preference.

Couple issues in cold weather
Thanks silver. It is indeed a twindoor. Might have to look into that issue at some point. Do you think hitting the wires with ptfe spray or something would help? On the other hand I might end up selling the car anyway as my daily commute will be changing radically next year The smoke (looks more like steam lol) is white and the car shows no warnings. To me it seems that the refusal to change gear is a consequence of the car not revving up to the shift point, as the rpm's stick to around 2k-2.5k if I remember correctly. I did clean the filter box about a year ago and I dont think there will be any leaves or anything as I haven't been around trees. But I will check that as well. Thanks again!

Couple issues in cold weather
Hello! Now that the temperature is about 15C below zero here in Finland I've noticed a couple issues with my Superb. It is an '09 with 2.0 tdi DSG. When I start the car, 80% of the time the MFD shows bulb warning for all side lights, license plate and brake lights, even though all the bulbs are working. This never happens in warm weather or in a warm garage. I am using LEDs for front side lights and license plate lights. The car was VCDS coded for LED license plate lights a couple years ago (although that didnt help for simple led bulbs and I had to buy proper ones with a resistor) The second issue is that when I wash the car in a warm self-service wash booth, take the car out in the cold and start driving something weird happens. At low speeds in the parking lot everything is ok, but when I start accelerating on the road, the car stutters and wont shift up from 2nd. I then shift into 3rd manually and it starts going, leaving a huge puff of smoke behind. Maybe something with water in the intake? Thanks.

Skoda Superb 2.0 tdi dsg vibration
It was done at an official skoda service at the same time the oil and filter was changed.

When the dsg got serviced, did it also get reprogrammed/reset? For me it did wonders in terms of smoothness.

Number Plate Bulbs
Yes!

Number Plate Bulbs
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the ones I bought are a complete lamp module with the housing and everything. I suppose there aren't separate bulbs with such resistors.

Number Plate Bulbs
You will almost certainly need LED's with a separate resistor with a cooling element for the number plate lights. I tried several "canbus bulbs" and none of them worked. Got ones with a separate wire and resistor, worked like a charm.

Creaking rear suspension, loud bang.
Took my car to a mechanic as my rear brake sticked and made a terrible noise on the freeway. Turns out both rear brake pistons were completely seized. Replaced brake shoes, discs and pads. No more sticky handbrake. So I guess it is not supposed to bang every time I start moving.

Rust prevention
On my '09 with almost 290k km there's a couple pretty bad rust areas. On the front fender right at the front, above the headlight. On the lowest part of the front fender where it meets the front door. On the rear fender where it meets the plastic rear bumper. I've been told its caused by the bumper moving a bit and rubbing on the metal fender. Theres also rust spots above the windshield from rockchips. Although, those are caused by the previous owners not fixing them with touch-up paint before them rusting. Hope this helps.

Columbus unit powering off an on intermittently
My bolero is doing the same thing some times, without a thump though. The thing just shuts off and starts back up. Usually it happens like 20 seconds after I start driving. A couple times the screen stays on but I get no audio whatsoever, but thats very rare. I haven't gotten around to checking connectors on the amp yet.

12v “cigarette lighter” socket not working.
Splendid Btw, left side IS the driver's side! Jokes aside, it's easy to forget there are a lot of people from the UK, here in Finland we drive on the correct side.

12v “cigarette lighter” socket not working.
Could be just a fluke

12v “cigarette lighter” socket not working.
In theory it could be caused by plugging in a device drawing too much power. More likely a faulty device.

Yes there is a fuse in the cabin fuse box, which is on the left side of the dash. Open the LH door and you can see the cover. Pop it open and check the inside of the cover for a fuse diagram.

Changing Paper Fuel Filter On 2012 Superb Diesel 1.6
I also read such posts when I was preparing for filter change. If I remember correctly this "recalibration" was just something to do with priming the fuel system. And as we've concluded it is not necessary if you don't drain the housing. Again, I'm not an expert and these are just my own experiences.
