Hi all, I've recently installed a android hu from atd and fitted a windscreen dab aerial. Annoyingly and as seems to a common theme on here the signal is rubbish at best. The aerial itself is installed correctly but I get the impression a GPS and dab sharkfin would get far better results. I'd like to try and retain the oem look and use of the current cables. I know I'd need to run another wire from the roof to the hu, but I'm hoping the wealth of knowledge on here can help me source a oem look sharkfin if such a thing exists? I know there are some members on here who supply these sorts of things. Also, a search did show me results but most if not all seem quite old. Thank you in advance.

Hi, Regularly covered topic. Disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes. It should reset the amp to activate on the ignition giving you sound once more.

So the relay arrived and has solved the issue!

From what ibe read on here it definitely sounds like a thermostat issue. I'd try swapping passenger for driver and see if the fault moves. Also is the external stat working OK as apparently this can have an impact on the internal temperature?

Hi, well I found the relay under the front passenger seat (uk rhd car). You can remove the tr along the bottom of the door frame but I found it easier to make one cut between two sections already cut out to access the relay. It's under a bundle of wires which are held in place with a plastic frame towards the door frame. I found if you prize this plastic frame out from the frame of the car you can release the relay by releasing the clip and pushing it down. You can then release the relay by squeezing the clips in on the loom it connects into. I've ordered a new replacement from Ali express for the pricely sum of £14.01 delivered by the end of the month! I will update when this arrives and whether it works. It would appear from other threads that if the seats stop working at the same time but the lights on the climatronic still illuminate. Then it's likely this part. It's worth noting it's cheaper to replace than the heated seat module, so worth trying first. It's sounds as if your issue may differ slightly from mine although I don't have the heated rear seats installed. Hope this helps if only a little for now!

Did you ever figure out if you had the wires in place to install an auto dimming mirror easily? Interested to know if you did. If so I'll be looking into it in mine!

Found under front passenger seat (rhd)! As others have experienced I had to cut a little bit of carpet, which won't be noticeable once the seat it bolted back down. Although I didn't find it too hard to get it free from the car thankfully. Has anyone bought one in the past? If so dis you buy a second hand one from ebay or buy new from somewhere like aliexpress?!

Hi all, I know this topic has been covered a few times over the years but I find myself in the same position! I've scoured various other threads in an attempt to nail down the location of the relay but to little success. I'm assuming the relay is under the carpet under the drivers seat (rhd). I've taken the bolts out securing the drivers seat and tilted it back. I've pulled the carpet around but still can't figure out where it is. Can anyone give some direction please, photos would be an added bonus! Or if anyone is local to bedford who's dealt with this issue and is willing to lend a hand if be forever grateful!!!!

I've walked away from it for the evening. A night for it to stand may result in it sorting itself out. I believe there is an option for a soft restart/reset of the system in vcds so may try that tomorrow. I managed to get the large mph on the maxidot though. I tried turning the cc off and on as you suggested as well as disabling the function on vcds, turning the cc off and reenabling, with no apparent joy. It would appear its the right software version although I will check again tomorrow to confirm! Thank you, I'm surprised anyone is on here this late!!

Hi all, I've followed the German guide and adapted the code accordingly but I'm not seeing the mph for the cruise in the bottom corner of the maxi dot display. I've followed it to a T, the only difference is I only see the option for'cruise control display', which I've now set to active on vcds. It accepted the change for info. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I wonder if it's a translation issue or a use issue! 😅
