  1. Out of My Mk2 Octavia - This is the piggyback module to add handsfree phone capability to the standard Bolero Stereo Not sure if its compatible with other skoda models, but works with the Mk2 Octavia VRS standard unit you will need a new Mic which are around £6 Location sheffield - will post at cost £80
  2. Genuine aftermarket Skoda part This is what you need to convert Bolero standard unit to universal Double Din fitting Location Sheffield - but can post at cost This cost me around £120 £60
  3. FS - Location Sheffield Good Used condition, slight crack on corner of one of the plastic feet cover, not noticable Will sort some pics later Collection only £120
  4. I've compresion tested Cylinder 2 vs 1 2 is 9.5bar 1 is 8 bar this seems to me to be quite a difference! But, not what I was expecting? If I've got worn/failed cylinder rings, I'd expect a lower compression in the faulting cylinder?
  5. Thanks - its the 2.0 Tsi CCZA Engine But, I agree, it does look like the last plug - Mechanical damage! 😞
  6. I'm hoping this is the issue, and not rings... 😏
  7. Not 100% sure no! - I'll give it a wipe So, if its oil but the balance of pressure is the same across all cylinders - what is my starting point? If its oil, why has the plug been seemingly burnt away? I'm trying to make sense of something my garage has failed to do in months.. without just changing stuff for the sake of it, like they have done before!
  8. I’ve had this issue for a while now the car has been back and forth to the garage, who I’m now sacking off started with a valve/intake clean to resolve a carbon build issue the car ran for a week, really well, then threw an injector! 4 new injectors, a set of plugs later this then started the back and forth! seems the inlet manifold gasket wasnt changed and it looks like there was an air leak causing overfilling (I’m guessing) which caused the plug to foul, then burn the plug when removed, smelt of petrol! pressures across all 4 cylinders were spot on and in balance if i put a new plug in, it will run fine but when I’m coasting, or at a slow, steady speed, it will happen again! I’m on injector set 2 swirl flap mech was changed this last time, new injectors, manifold gasket, and plugs! im going to try and sort this myself this time as I’m not letting the original garage anywhere near, and I’ve not got the cash to start again with a new garage! was going to strip the inlet manifold and work from there any pointers / suggestions most welcome!! pics / bad plug and normal for comparison!
  9. I looked at it, but got my garage involved They did a full strip and walnut blast clean... was just shy of £500! then same again for Injectors!!!
  10. Hi mate Oh no!! lol Turns out I needed a full intake clean, that sorted it.. then an injector went.. so intake off again... then a swirl flap issue.. which is ongoing!!!! Main problem was intake carboned up... been running on E5 too... so if youre on E10.. worth a look - and dont bother with those companies who will come out and do a carbon clean.. utter rubbish... Good luck
  11. The manifold was replaced before I got the car 2 1/2 years ago It was a VW genuine one from the receipt I have I have had it off and cleaned recently, then off again following a injector failing 2 weeks later! I would have noticed this wasnt connected to anything before this work was done! so not sure whats gone on! Thanks Guys My garage were looking into this for me as the assumprion was they had 'lost' a pipe!! Appreciate the help
  12. Interestingly, I've found this on ebay - listed as a for a Skoda Superb - this is exactly what I have.. so perhaps... its the wroing part for my car!!
  13. Thanks, I'll have a look and post some numbers later 🙌
  14. Thanks the vac pipe coming off the engine, is fixed to the back of the solenoid there are 3 ports it seems the one missing is the one that’s fixed on the rear not the front bit then there is a ‘spare’ with nothing obvious missing! 🤷🏻‍♂️
  15. Sorry, no the small bit from the swirl flap solenoid…
  16. I’m missing a pipe after some work! It’s getting sorted… can someone drop a pic over showing what connects where please? I’ve got an ‘in’ pipe at the back, then and ‘out’ pipe coming off the back also… leaving this one at the front!
  17. I've just had mine diagnosed as the Evap purge valve I disconnected it and the hesitation went, new one going on tomorrow!
  18. Sounds like we are looking in slightly different areas, as mine is worse when cold.. but it still happens at full temp! I've got no error codes to go at either I dont fancy the inlet manifold removal either.. it looks like a days job if you have not done it before, plus the element of surprise!!! Garage is getting booked today, need this sorting its annoying and clearly something wrong and not healthy! I was advised against a carbon clean on an old car, can end up too clean and rattling! Thats from a mechanic, I've not looked into it any more than that as this stage.. Best of luck...
  19. Hi Mate I have been researching the same, I concluded it wasnt electrical, or fuel - My symptoms - Worse while cold - upto 3k rpm.. above this - pulls smooth! I changed the DV valve - no change and had it smoke tested - no leaks I'm aiming towards the inlet manifold being gunked up at present - just dont fancy removing it!! However one thing to consider, which was recommended by the guy smoke testing - E5 petrol only - hes had numerous older performance petrols in with E10 issues! If you resolve before I do, drop an update in here and I'll do the same Andy
  20. Thanks - I have tried that, but they are all 'seemingly' the standard ones, and not the smaller opening ones which woud be suited to a Skoda Satnav unit
  21. Brill find, thanks I think I've actually found exactly what I was after all along on there... https://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/plastic-trims-52/oem-1z0858069dkdf1-navigation-aluminium-trim-for/ Is this is OEM part code? - OEM 1Z0858069DKDF1 If so, I'd probably try Skoda in the UK to avoid all the post brexit import BS I tried one of those plastic infil kits, and they are aweful.. so flimsy It went back.. hence this original route.. Appreciate the help 🙏
  22. Thanks I've linked below to an ebay auction for what I beleive is the correct 'type' of item I'll do a bit of research, but this looks correct https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173518766439
  23. Thanks mate I've had a good root round, but they only list the same one as Skoda described which is the aftermarket faschia 🤷‍♂️
