What did you expect? Driving a automatic in them conditions are going to course problems.can I suggest to use a bit of grey matter ie a brain.when driving in them conditions? Any idiot would tell you to use manual gear changing in them conditions.suprises me how thick people are.

Hi that would be a big help.mine will have 19 inch wheels and intend to drive around Spain.they don't take to kindly to odd size wheels on any car.cheers

Interesting never heard anyone saying euro6 were having problems.i told a mechanic what car I was getting and he said it is very good car and the only problems were the soft ware but it should all be sorted by end of July if not before.i will look into it a bit further.thank you for the info

Interesting,I always thought diesel car lasted longer than petrol cars?then you say problrms with these car when they get older,I have never had a problems with any diesel cars and one of them I was doing 40000 miles a year.my last diesel car had 110000 miles on the clock and again had no problem with engine or anything else that comes to mind.with proper maintenance I cannot see any major problems using a diesel car.just my opinion.

Am changing over to a skoda from a Volvo and one of the reason is mpg,they told me I would get up to 38/42 mpg .after 3 years the best I have got is 35 mpg.that was hard work to get that figure.i have gone for the vrs diesel 4x4 which I know will give me a lot more mpg.reading about the softwear problem is not deterring me.mind you I hop it is all sorted by the time I get my new car.around mid september(fingers crossed) was told 26 weeks on ordering but now informed no more than 16 weeks.

I have ordered a new Octavia vrs estate 200 Bhp .i have read about spare wheels on this thread.could I get a full size spare wheel and put it into the rear of the car and fit a floor cover into so it is not a uneven floor ?i know there is a big lip from boot lid to floor level and would this be big enough to house a full size wheel?

I have read this some other place the Iv skoda has no anchor places to fit a tow bar because of the positions of the battery pack.

I was told late April that that colour was now not available,it was now silver.in any case it did not bother me .i was to opt for black.

My t4 Volvo just shows d also.so I think it is common now and not a problem to me.

I ordered my Octavia estate vrs 4x4 late April and were told it would be 24/26 weeks.a few days later got e mail saying it has now changed and are expecting delivery around mid September.i get a update e Rey week and still saying delivery mid September.i spoke to someone in the know and he said for some n 4x4 vrs skoda cars are getting built quicker than fwd skoda cars.it has something about the chips they use in 4x4 are more readily available.i don't know if it is true but up to now it is going to plan.i hope it does or am trouble we go away 10 October to drive to France and Spain.

What is the maximum size spare wheel will fit into spare wheel well?on a 2021 vrs 4x4 estate car.one other point,if I got a full size spare wheel ie 19 inch how could I make the floor level without it moving around.
