  1. Was driving my 2021 (MY22) Karoq, equipped with Amundsen, when I received notification of the availability of an OTA update, even though the screen was off (clock displayed). On checking later, the navigation is now at 22.1.
  2. I'm considering the purchase of a set of rear wheel arch fenders shown here. However, on inspecting the existing fixings, my car has only the lower and upper ones. Does anyone have experience of installing them and possible longevity issues if only two fixings are used? Another thread on mudflaps/fenders had a link to an AliExpress page that has a short video in which 3 existing fixings are mentioned and re-used; the page in question now says the fenders are no longer available, though they look the same as those shown here.
  3. Just checked my 2021 (but MY22) Karoq with Amundsen and the general software is 0302, with 21.11 for the navigation. Since getting the car in August I've had notifcation of 3(?) system updates on the screen and each time selected OK; don't know the original software levels or what the updates involved.
  4. Thanks for the video. Just need to buy / borrow the correct screwdriver to get the job done.
  5. Like mistac, I too have purchased the Zoomsee LEDs. My comments are: The OE lights fitted above the sun visors are already LED. Changed the lights in the boot, glove box and rear passenger area without any problem. Those in the rear passenger area are a great improvement. Using the electrical system workshop manual as a guide (page 201), it appears the front map reading downlights require the dismantling of the lamps / anti-theft sensor mounting trim, including the removal of 2 special screws to allow the frame to swing down, this then appears to allow the bulbs and holders to be removed (page 175). Am I reading this correctly, or can the light lenses be levered out to gain access to the bulbs? Thanks for any information you are able to provide.
  6. Is your glovebox light installation different to the one shown on page 167 of the electrical system workshop manual here?
  7. I came across this Department for Transport consultation (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1021000/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards-print-version.pdf) yesterday and thought it worth sharing as a couple of areas would be of interest to Forum members', i.e. 'Tackling Tampering' on page 11 and 'Improving compliance, safety and security' (a new recall regime) on page 12. Of course at the end of the day, as with any legislation, it boils down to the level of enforcement. The consultation closes on the 22nd November.
  8. Checked mine today and agree with john999boy that provided the driver's door is closed then the car will 'lock' even if all other doors are open. If the driver's door is open then the car will not 'lock'.
  9. Had a follow-up call from SUK Customer Services today checking that the dealer had contacted me to apologise for their internal systems failing; which they had last Friday. I asked SUK to confirm in writing that the 5-year warranty was in place, which they have. Have arranged to collect the car on Thursday 26th.
  10. It is still possible for a dealer that registers a car to de-register it within 7 working days (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/v996-application-for-de-registration) . Thankfully it didn't come to that.
  11. Spoke with Skoda UK Customer Services today, who in turn spoke with the Sales Support Team while I was on hold, and they advised that my car does in fact have the factory 5-year warranty!! Make of that what you will. Customer Services were going to contact the dealer to put them straight. Had planned to collect the car tomorrow, but have decided to delay until next week, by which time I may have calmed down.
  12. Yes they have the VED and the Reg. No.. They've said the car will be ready for collection from Saturday 21st. However, I've said until the extended warranty issue is resolved to my satisfaction I won't be collecting it.
  13. It transpires that the car has been registered with me as Keeper. It probably won't come as a surprise to learn the dealership is the same organisation as that mentioned in the link you provided.
  14. Email from dealer yesterday (18th) that they have vehicle (confirmed by Skoda UK today), however issue of over 2-year warranty extension as someone there didn't action it to be 'attached' to the car. Dealer offered a 3-year warranty extension of their own with a relatively small cost saving, but I declined. Watch this space!
  15. Hi Chris, I've heard from the dealer that my new car is with them and, from the CRD that I've signed, the 10th character of the VIN is the letter N; so, presumably MY 2022. Allan
  16. My order history to date is: Order placed with dealer 28th April (Karoq SE Drive 1.5 DSG with heated front seats, heated windscreen, space saver wheel and rear side airbags) Dealer estimated build date as mid-July. Skoda UK email confirmed order on 10th May Skoda UK email 9th August advising car off production line. Dealer email 11th August advising they expect car to be with them next week. The dealer has kept in touch by email approx every 2 weeks advising of its progress.
