Did anyone find a solution? I have same problem in new Kodiaq…

Well, I would say that probably only few Kodiaqs are build on stock due to custom orders, especially at the beginning of new model. Cars like Fabia, Octavia are on stock but unfortunately not in this time 😞

I would agree. I think they are also not producing the cars if there would be a lot of work to do afterwards and especially if it would be risky to damage the car. Does anyone know what exactly Skoda is missing due to chip shortage? I would assume platform with motor and gearbox is complete, doors also, so probably only infotainment system or digital cockpit, or?

Omg, chaos… And now imagine your car was built and it will wait there in rain/snow etc. and arrive after half a year like a brand new car 😠

Here is a webcam of airport close to Kvasiny factory (where they are bulding Kodiaqs) where you can see parked built cars waiting for missing parts. https://www.see.cam/cz/83/rusek/rusek-hradec-kralove-airport When I checked it last time in July and in August after factory opened again after summer closure, only right side was full and left one empty (you can also check on page via time lapse). Now you can see on left side most of it only Kodiaqs (you need to zoom in). So yeah, they are building it as much as possible I believe but the problem is that they need to store it all around (upper link I assume it’s only one of several locations) until they get missing parts (due to chips).

That is really strange. Did you order it at official dealer? My status: - last week of May ordered, - 2 weeks later provisional delivery cw34 - 2 weeks later production planned, delivery cw31 - 2 weeks later production confirmed, delivery cw31 - 2 weeks later when car should aready arrive it was still in production with comment from dealer that it will come 3 weeks factory closure, - 4 weeks later car in delivery and ready to be picked same week So I am really surprised that you didn’t get anything at all…

Yes, they told me to take it easy for first couple of 100 kilometers. For me it’s a new thing that you don’t have a cross check after first 1-2k km. I assume they are also saving here 😉 And like I read on other topic in the forum, when I picked it up, I got only 1 umbrella instead of 2 like in the past (but this I don’t care, I just mentioned it). Overall I am very satisfied with the dealer during complete process (very kind, professional and with right information all the time (no blurry answers, etc) and yeah at the end they gave me for free rubber mats which was also nice gesture. I also asked about other incoming cars and got answer they are coming really slowly 1 by 1 for those who ordered it May-June plus if you order it now the expected delivery time is postponing and postponing. I would say I was quite lucky with order of new model. In February I wanted to order old model with a lot of equipment and due to lower price (because new model will come out) but I couldn’t (orders were closed or in other words, all slots were full until end of production) plus I couldn’t order a new model already. One month after the new model was announced I got info that I can order it. I assume this months in between where no-one could order old one neither new one were crucial that I got it in 12 weeks. I assume same is valid for orders until July or maybe end of July as for later orders where I think the delivery dates can be postponed for a lot…

I am surprised that you are ordering it at your dealer like this. Here at our country you exactly know which model you are ordering with which type of equipment (Active-Ambition-Style-Sportline-L&K-RS). I know that equipment “packages” vary from country to country, but that you don’t know if you get old or facelift 😕

I don’t get it. You exactly know which one you ordered, old one or facelift? I wanted to order old one in March due to lower price and full equipment but I couldn’t due to the reason that all order slots until start of production of facelift were booked. But all “bad stuff” happens with a reason so I am more than happy to have matrix led headlights

I got info that you could preorder it from April on and normally order it from mid May on. Well, I think Kodiaq is top priority model (also due high margin) and even if there is issue with a chip shortage, it will have small impact on production (2-4 weeks delay). You can also see on webcam of airport where they are storing cars with some missing parts that Kodiaqs are in front row (first one to be picked, after missing parts are delivered/on stock). Webcam

I received a good news regarding my order. Car is in delivery phase and should arrive next week. Looks like they received missing parts in the weeks of closure and they finished it.

Hm… how that? Isn’t factory closed next week? Can you check on .co.uk only for UK dealers or also for other EU dealers?

Really not looking good. On other side, I checked on official Czech Skoda site and they have approximately 20 new Kodiaqs as available at dealers.

Yeah, same here. Delivery should be already last week and now it is postponed for some weeks. Looks like delivery could happen in the beginning or mid of September. Same, blaming closure of factory & chip shortage (2 weeks + one additional because of chips).

I work in automotive and we are producing parts for ACC (not Skoda, but VW). Believe me, you don’t want to have inside 3rd part installation / parts. This radar inside is really precisely installed with correlation to bumper (plastic part).

Last info I got for mine is that it’s in transport. I also saw already 4 of them on truck being transport to customs. As I understood dealer, plan is to introduce them in saloons at August (next or 2nd week) and the same week to officially give delivered cars to the customers.

I hope I can borrow this topic for short question. Did anyone with USB-c socket found a solution of mini USB-c flash storage which is not blocking sliding “doors” to completely close the tray? For the ones with USB-A there is available small USB-A flash drive, but for USB-C I can’t find it :(

I ordered it end of May and expected date of delivery is CW31. Order is on status, production confirmed. Regarding production, car SOP was 1st July, so line should be fully operative especially due to facelift model and not a new model. But true regarding holidays or plant closures, which will effect for some of orders to be done later in the summer.
