  1. Car is in the dealers today for service, some recall work and headlight calibration. I will update on here if the kerbside high illumination issue is sorted.
  2. My PCP deal ends in December - thinking about a facelift model, but I thought not available yet ( in UK) too?
  3. Really interesting debate. I find the matrix lights work really well. They don't dip before the sensor can see the actual headlights from oncoming cars, but they do quickly adjust. People tend to flash because they think they will be dazzled as the beams are so bright in my experience. My issue isn't with the matrix full beams though, it is with the dipped headlights. You may have noticed that the dipped beam pattern adjusts according to your speed. Once above about 30 or 40 mph I notice that the beam at the kerbside goes quite high. Road signs illuminated, cats, dogs , children on the pavement etc. but this can dazzle oncoming traffic when on a left hand bend or overtaking on dual carriageway or motorway. I think this is the adaptive front light functionality- I can't seem to find anything definitive to tell me whether it's meant to go so high kerbside or not. But I think it's a fault as it does seem to be too high. Will try to get a photo. When stationery close to a wall the beam pattern is fine and pretty much level across. I get more flashes from the dipped beam issue than the matrix lights which seem to be fine tbh.
  4. Hi @OverTheHill - I am having issues with kerbside illumination as well with the dipped headlights. Can you elaborate on how you fixed the issue with the Allen key? Or send a link? Thanks in advance.
  5. Haha! Wish I'd seen this video before! Thanks!!
  6. Hi guys, I did a little bit more experimentation with the lights issue. It seems that my car's my lights are set up for UK (Left hand side of the road driving) by default but the issue is that in the menu "Driving on the right" is selected- so the menu selection is wrong. The reason why I think that is because if I go into the menu and select "driving on the right" (even though it's already selected) the beam pattern shifts to the right. If I then select "driving on the left" it then shifts back to the left. So I actually think that it's been set up correctly but the menu is incorrect l, but only initially. Might be worth having a look for yourselves. I found parking up by a wall to be able to see the light beam pattern worked well. Cheers
  7. Ok thanks for getting back to me! Shame that they haven't managed to get to it so far. Ah ok thanks for getting back to me! V annoying.
  8. @Bobe I'm Having the same issue with ACC and lights as well- did you manage to get any resolution? Thanks
  9. Hi @Ozzy25 - I've just taken delivery of an Octavia and am having the same issue- defaults to "Driving on the Right" and also a bit buggy when trying to change it to "Driving on the Left" (sometimes takes a few goes to get it right) Did you get your issue resolved? @BacktoaVRS Did you have any luck with this? thanks!
  10. Have agreed home delivery on 17th December. So this is around 21 weeks / 5 months from placing order to home delivery. I have checked and it has been built to the spec ordered and quartz grey colour. I was quoted around 16-20 weeks at the time of placing order so this has been about right
  11. As promised here's the photo. Delivered this morning by Rebecca from Garland. I hope everyone gets theirs ASAP.
  12. Forgot to say, I also bought mine from Garland Aldershot, via Carwow. Rebecca has been good with the updates.

  14. I had my weekly update email from the dealer today also. The car is on its way to the UK on a boat now. The dealer advised that after it arrives in the UK (which should be midnight tonight) it normally takes 10-14 days to get to the dealership and then they need to do their checks - but she thinks we should have it before Christmas. Fingers crossed.🤞
  15. Mine was in build for about 3 weeks and then out of nowhere the dealer emailed to say it was in Emden waiting to be loaded onto a boat.
  16. As above, Cheers
  17. Hi Mattster, I had a provisional build week of April / May 2022 but then I was given a confirmed build date of 18 October 21- so I wouldn't read much into it. Cheers
  18. Oh really? I've not been made aware of any changes to my order, I'll ask the dealer. Is yours the estate too? Will keep you posted. My dealer told me on 07/11 that it was awaiting chips and then today I was told it's all done and awaiting a boat. So yes they definitely have had some chips delivered.
  19. Hi all, just a quick update on my order, i was informed it was in build 22nd October and today I was informed build is completed and it's at Emden port awaiting a boat to bring it to the UK. It's the Octavia VRS Estate, Petrol, Dsg, Quartz Grey with sunroof. So it's been about 3.5 months from placing order to production being completed. I'll keep everyone posted on progress. Fingers crossed it arrives before Christmas!
  20. Update from dealer, expected build week now showing as w/c 18th October but still subject to change.
  21. I ordered my Octavia end of July from the dealer. I got a confirmation from Skoda that order received 18/08. I don't have a confirmed build week but Skoda web chat advised that it is expected week 18 of 2022-which is roughly end of April / early May- although the build date may come forward when confirmed.
