Hi Just a quick update came home from work tonite and used full lock to get into drive and the ASR&ABS warning lights and the steering warning light came on plus the alarm.These then went off just leaving the steering wheel warning light on.Wife has just been out and its doing the same thing.Now this is exactly what it did before they replaced the steering sensor under warranty.I assume you get a guarantee with all warranty work as this was only done about 4 months ago but now the car is 37 months old will they sort it out free of charge. Hi Rights heres the story so far had the power steering sensor changed under warranty about 3-4 months ago.While out yesterday i had a few warning lights come on and the buzzer sounding.This in turn all stopped and every thing seemed ok again.Then i noticed the clock was dimming when i indicated or touch the brake pedal now this does not happen all the time.What i really want to know is if it is the steering sensor again would it be covered by a guarantee as the car was out of warranty on March the 19th. Any help/advice would be great. Mike:confused:

Hi Been a bad week 3 small dents in 3 doors and can't even blame the wife .Just wanted to know if anyone can recommend a firm to remove these i live abut 12 miles from Norwich Any help would be great . Mike:D

Hi Sounds like a good price to me would be interested to know where your getting it done as I'm in Dereham Norfolk and my VRS is 3 years old this month so no more main dealer services.Be nice to know of some where that you can trust and a reasonable price to. Mike

Hi While washing the car today i found a small chip/nick on one of the alloys just wanted to know what is the best way to repair it so that all the clear coat does not start peeling off like my last set which skoda kindly replaced.

Hi Mine has also stopped working and the water appears on the floor near the front wheel is this an easy fix if i jack the passanger side of the car up or do i have to strip half the car out.I only have till March the 19th till its out of warranty if its a big job. Mike:confused:

Hi had the sensor replaced on mine last friday and all seems well at the moment fingers crossed. mike:thumbup:

Hi had the same problem with my 05 VRS but also got the ABS & ASR warning lights on to.Then they all went off but lights etc kept flickering.Then when it got dark i turned the lights on and the power steering warning light came on and stayed on.Took it in last week and they are replacing the power steering sensor tomorrow apparently it can develop a fault and suddenly start drawing to much power/current which in turn causes the other problems but we will see when i get it back on Saturday. mike

Hi Thanks for the replys but was hoping it was the sensor thats causing all the problems as battery still starts car fine and i have had the flickering lights for a month or so now so i hope its the sensor that is affecting every thing else. mike:confused:

Update Been to the dealers this morning they seem to think its the power steering sensor so booked in for Friday. Mike:thumbup:

Hi Rather worried about my 05 VRS had just done about a 100 miles then popped into Morrison's.Came back out started the car pulled away then put full lock on and all of a sudden the steering,ABS & ASR warning lights all came on then they all went out but when i turned the headlights on the steering warning light came back on and stayed on ,still had around 60 miles to go so carried on but steering was heavy when nearing full lock.Got home turned engine off and then back on steering light went out.What is going on i also noticed that the headlights and the dash lights dip if i brake or use the indicators, electric windows .Could it be a earth fault or battery on the way out.Will try and get it to a dealers on Monday but any pointers would be great. Hi Am i being paranoid ? but when driving at night and i use my indicators the headlights seem to flicker same with the heater fan.Is the the norm or do i have a problem. Mike:confused:

Hi Just had a 30,000 mile service at Robinsons of Norwich no brake fluid change as that was done at 20,000 but they charged me £167.00 they also collected the car from my work place and delivered it back at no extra charge so top blokes as far as i am concerned. Mike

Hi Chris i take it that you have the black ones on yours as you can't really see them in the pics.Do you have any close up pics as i really would luv to stop the back of the car getting so dirty but also i don't want to think why did i buy them once i have fitted them.Also are they numpty proof when it comes to fittng them? mike...

Hi Same here the back does get really ****ty but its the stone chips i want to stop as well as the muck.Not sure about the red ones on a black car but may look ok in black .Would be good to see a pic of them fitted in black just not sure about the look as i will be driving to work not taking part in a rallly stage :confused: Mike

Hi I have a black VRS and this time of year its a real sh-- to keep clean.Now i have read many posts on mudflaps but just want a few peoples thoughts on the skoda ones or am i better going for some of the after market ones as the skoda ones seen quite short which may not stop all the crap and stones going up the side of the car.Anyway any help or site where to buy from would be great. Hi Sorry my mistake not been done yet going in on the 29th Nov.Just wanted to know how a seal inside the door helps the window.guy did say its a git to do as they have to take the door panel off. mike:)

Hi Car has been in to Robinsons in Norwich for 30,000 mile service and they have agreed that the clear coat is coming off 1 wheel and there is corrosion on the other 3 so new set of wheels have been ordered also new seal for drivers door as electric window really struggles to shut(how does the seal help?) plus they came and picked the car up from my works and delivered it back before i left off at no extra charge.What can i say they are AWESOME will be taking it there for all work from now on.
