Hi whils washing the car yesterday i noticed that there are a few places where the clear coat has peeled off and there are some marks around the valves .the car is going in for its 30000 service at Robinsons Norwich next friday so my question is have i any chance making a claim for this under the warranty as the car is not 3 years old till next march.any advice would be great. Well thanks everyone looks like its not that bad after all, will see if i can get the air filter changed when i have it seviced.Is £170.00 about right for a 30,000 service? Mike

Hi I have had my 05 VRS for about 6 weeks now and it really is fun to drive but i have a couple of questions.I only seem to be getting around 380 miles on a tank of diesel which is not a much as i was hoping.Idrive it to work ever day which is around 12 miles each way there is abit of around town driving and the rest is out and about at weekends.Also it smokes on start up and when changing gear.Now the service indicator has come on as its due for its 30,000 mile service in around 800 miles what i really want to know is what should i ask the garage to be looking at to try a correct these problems or will they correct themselves after the service. Thanks Mike:( P.S Anyone recommend a good garage around the Dereham Norfolk area.

Hi My VRS drivers window is really struggling to shut at present can i use some Pledge furniture polish to lubricate it? And whats the best way to do it. thanks mike:)

Hi while getting my son out of his seat i notice the seat material is coming away from the catch that releases the seat back so you can fold it down should this be covered by my warranty as the car is not 3 years old till next March?. Mike.

Hi Just a quick question i have 2 or 3 stone chips to touch up on my black VRS should i clay bar the area first to get rid of the many layers of polish before i apply the paint.Then polish again. mike.

Hi Have attached a few pics as i got wrong at the top of the thread .This is how i want it to look after a shampoo so i think a sealing coat is the way to go but due to the purse strings being out of my control what is the best pound for pound and which will last the longest don't want to have to re apply it every month. Hi Have give my black fabia the Megiars works just need to give it a second coat of the NXT Polish.But what is the best thing to seal it with and how long will it last before i need to polish it again.I did have a short list but after reading on here and other sites i am now not sure what to use.Also can you apply it right after your have polished the car?. Hi Just a quick question my vrs has been polished by the garage with Autogym will i spoil the shine by using Meguiars NXT shampoo as i won't be able to give it a good going over till my next holiday when it will receive the Meguiars treatment. Thanks mike

Hi going to give my 05 black fabia vrs its first going over only had it since saturday and have been reading all the threads on here and ended up with a headache.But this is what i think i should use so any input would be great. 1)new sheepskin wash mit (2 bucket wash method) using Meguires NXT shampoo. 2)Meguiers scratch x to get rid of all the light scratches. 3)Autoglym super resin polish. 4)then a coat of Collinite 476s. not to sure about using the clay thingy yet as knowing my luck i will f the paint up. Also is it in the right order? Mike.

Hi Just picked up my 2005 black fabia VRS and i am pretty happy but there are quite a few what i would call light scratches around the door handles and tailgate and a few on some of the other panels.Is there a product i can use to get rid of these or is it a professionals job?. Mike.

Hi Will be picking up my 2005 black fabia VRS next Saturday and i want to get a tip top shine on it.Have read many threads on here but i am now really confused are there better products for black than silver?.Best i have used todate is MER but looking on here people are using 3 plus products.If someone could list me what i need that would be great as i don't want to FU-- the paint finish up the day i get it. mike:thumbup:

Yes sorry meant 27500 silly me.took it out for test drive and that was it big grin factor kicked in.Tried to get him down but no luck.Only thing that i could find wrong was the air con did not get very cool but they said they would re gas it and if that didn't work then they will get it sorted under warranty.So next Saturday watch out roads of norfolk.

Hi Have been looking for the above for a while now but have just been offered a VRS in black with 275000 miles on the clock first reg on 15/03/05 for
