rSAP Bluetooth to HandsFree - Sucess!
Guys, Varooom, sorted. I had no idea that one had to enter all 4 clusters of 4 numbers and was choosing only one cluster offered by the screen between the instruments. The telephone linked immediately but the telephone wasn't considered to be a media player until I rebooted it whereupon the Bluetooth symbol on the Columbus suddenly came alive. My telephone kept asking me to enter either 1111 or 1234. Bloody confusing.

rSAP Bluetooth to HandsFree - Sucess!
Having removed my Bluetooth unit in the belief that it has died (it is a 3C8 035 730 B Novero made in Germany) can I replace it with a 'C' or 'D' as I find a few on eBay? Can I take my removed original somewhere in E. Sussex to have it tested? Cosmo J

Best Diagnostic tool?
Decided that OBD Eleven is the best option for me provided that it will show me the auto gearbox fluid temperature and suspension level sensors: if they are functioning. BUT, is the gearbox fluid temp. monitored to be available to the reader? AND are the suspension/level sensors outputs such that the signal is recognisable/readable by such an OBD?

Bluetooth connection stopped
Thanks. Now removed. Wish hit had a light on it so we could see if it's powered. All fuses checked and unit removed because when it is disconnected the Bluetooth soft key vanishes.

Wow, How does one find and do this? I have just removed the Bluetooth unit under my seat as when it is disconnected the Bluetooth symbol soft key top right hand corner of the Columbus screen vanishes altogether. Reconnecting the unit brings back the now functionless soft key so I removed the unit assuming that it's ****ed.

LOSS OF BLUETOOTH & FUSE BOX
Bluetooth (2012 Superb 2l estate) soft key Bluetooth button, while present (top right hand side), is no longer green and every time connecting to my telephone when it asks to connect and offers four sets of the same numbers as code it is always rejected. I have no Bluetooth facility anymore. I have rebooted the Columbus twice and have disconnected the under drivers seat unit four times. No change. Ideas? FUSE BOX Thought I'd look at fuses. Rather than destroy both of them trying to gain access what do you do to the two lock tabs on the box under the hood and what do you do with the screwdriver on the passenger side interior plastic cover? Ah, this is interesting and thank you. I have spent the afternoon researching this and have downloaded Carista, Torque Pro and Car Scanner (as I have Veepeak - which is useless). You rate Carista? I am after finding out if I have a failed suspension level sensor and if I can read the automatic gearbox fluid temperature . Can you, could you see if these are available on your Carista?

I think I have one in the glove box. Not used it. Perhaps I should download a programme/App to see what mine comes up with?

So as to the Genden T55 what's the verdict?

Best Diagnostic tool?
Gentlemen (I think I can exclude woman as there don't appear to be any women), I have read that Gendan is popular and appears to be endorsed by Briskoda. I have found these (T55, https://www.gendan.co.uk/factor.php) and this (VAGT85, https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VAGT85.html). I note that the 85 while stating that its for 96 - 2004 also EOBD compliant cars (nearly all 2001+ petrol cars and 2004+ diesel cars.* Mine is a 2012 Superb 2l diesel. can I have your feedback as someone who specifically wants to know if one of these level sensors has packed in and the temperature of the auto gearbox fluid. If one of these, and I assume the T55, is good and performs these functions then it seems worthwhile?

Dipped Beam
Varoom, Yes, clearly I have work to do. Wish I'd brought my ramps with me when I came to England.

Dipped Beam
Right, tested. Nothing with light switch on off as I always park up and no dance on Auto. No warnings. How would I know which sensor to replace assuming all of them (both: 2?) have intact rods?

Dipped Beam
Not sure how to respond individually to everyone that has kindky responded so I'll just use the Submit Reply button and say thanks. This is good. I'll check those sensors.

Thanks again. Before shelling out £130 for bulbs levelling sounds like a sensible starting point. Can I assume that once finding the levelling mechanism I can test whether it's working by moving the mechanical parts (where are they) and once found and not, say, making a difference, then it's a garage job for the electric side of things?

Dipped Beam
Thank you for this. I have not noticed the up and down movement but I will, as suggested try tonight. I have just taken a bulb out. Correct: it's an Osram Xenarc electronic 66140 D1S. Question is, if I change it for a Night Breaker am I guaranteed better dip illumination or could it be the shutter and or levelling system still impairing it?

TMBKF73T2C9036651- Need help with replacing dipped beam bulb
Good old vaseline indeed.- Dipped Beam
Sincere apologies for bringing this up again but I have lost any earlier responses and cannot through searching find reference to DIPPED headlight illumination. My main beam is excellent and I note that on my Mk 2 Superb Estate both the halogen and the round lensed thing are on. I don't believe I have the Xenon type headlights? My dipped beams are shocking. Positively dangerous. I remember reading about levelling sensors and the fact that they regulate headlamps but surely if the main beam is beyond expectation levelling input cannot be the problem? I recently visited a garage for their take and they have brought 'shutters' in to the discussion. Aware of and not wanting LED replacements for a number of reasons can someone explain to me how these things work, how and what aspect of the headlamp units the levelling sensors do, e.g. does it affect both dipped and main beams and what of these shutters? Can I overcome the problem by just fitting these Nightbreakers that so many rave about or will I find having fitted them my problem can be attributed to these shutters and or the levelling gubbins? Thank you all in advance.- Diesel Filter Change [2012. Mk2. 2l. 170hp. Tdi]
Thanks. All good news. Read a few scary posts so thought I'd ask. On my trusty 39 year old Merc there's a hand pump to prime- TOWING LIGHTS WIRING (2012 Superb Estate Tdi.)
Fortunately I haven't had to pay anything. Bought this particular car as it was fitted with the rig. I pulled everything apart to gain access to the relay (I see they are £23) only to find that everything works just fine now that I have put back the 16w brake light bulbs. As to using the relay with an independent power supply with lamps activated by initiating bulbs in the cluster it's a great idea methinks.- Shocking Low Beam Illumination
Xman, Got you, re. the projected distance of the dipped beam in relation to sensors. Thanks. On the dimness, it's the same bulb/light source for Main & Dip and they are excellent on full beam so are they dimmed on Dip? What's the reasoning behind the yellow light (particularly compared to to the Zennons) halogen that comes on on full beam and swamped by the Zennons? - Dipped Beam
