    If it's a diesel engine, it's possibly the turbo vane sticking, especially if it's only been used for short journeys. Happened to my 2007 2.0 Tdi a couple of years ago. EML came on and pwer dropped Turned it off and all good again for a few miles then back on and no power. New turbo replaced for £980 inc VAT and it goes like the clappers....
