Gz on the new car. Bad news for us who are still waiting - or a kick in the … to start looking for other options / stock cars. Worst timing ever, 1st time buying a new car for myself (after a few flops with used ones, hence new this time). No news from my dealer though, they always say let’s wait some 2 weeks and we’ll see how it goes, and weeks just fly by…

I think common sense left us with arrival of covid… I doublechecked the contract, only one sentence on cancellation and refund - if the seller doesn’t deliver the vehicle in agreed time (which is not limited due to annex and covid related supply chain disruptions). Meh, bad timing for buying a new car. Had I known that it wouldn’t get better but only worse, I wouldn’t allow myself to get in this mess in the first place. But can’t really blame them for the fire, that was a big slap in the face for all…

I checked mine, no word on factory cancellation, only annex on estimated delivery date (could be more than 6 months + 45 days due to covid). And now we have the fire (force majeure) so it can be prolonged indefinitely without any financial consequences for Skoda.

Man, that’s real unfortunate. I am now waiting for something similar as it keeps being pushed forward without any info of the status.

Hi all, i spent my Friday evening researching the news on fire and what does it mean now for the delivery. I came across this forum and spent quite some time to get through the 77 pages 😀 Anyway, my two cents in this matter: ordered 2.0d dsg style + some safety package which included blind spot signal beginning of August 2021 here in Slovenia. Checked a few times last year with the dealer, delivery was constantly been moved for a few weeks - first February, then March, end of April and todays info is week 20. Status unknown. I was contacted by the dealer in December if I would be willing to cancel the safety package, but left it as it was as there was no guarantee the car would actually arrive sooner. So here I am, one more person to nag about the waiting 😊 So basically the dealers have no info, they advise to wait. And the rear view cameras are now gone (didn’t order, just the info I got today).
