Unbelievable. They promised a sure delivery and now this…. But yes, higher prices and no stock (beside 1.0 engines) make us hold on and hope that eventually we will get it. Unless you need a car asap.

I thought that Scalas were not that problematic. Before I ordered my Octy I had my eye on Scala as well, went for a test drive, but driving Octy and having a different engine palette to choose from convinced me in favour of the latter. Was really a no brainer after the test drive. But anyway, what I wanted to say that the dealer advertised 3-4 month waiting time for Scala and 5-7 for Octy (in Aug 21). I see now that there are issues for those as well. Not many Scalas on our roads though.

I don’t have reverse camera nor matrix lights, but I have blind spot detection system. Ambient light I think comes in Style configuration already? And you were able to add things 5 months after your order?

I heard that they still sell quite a lot of new cars per month inspite the waiting time.

Hey, my build week has supposedly been pushed back a bit, from week 22 to week 20. Now as I finally got some info I am nagging my dealer every week 😊. How about you guys, any news?

Ofc, I had to sign an annexe that the delivery period can last longer than the initial 6 months in the contract. A fellow member who is also from Slovenia mentioned loads of Octys that were being delivered to our Police. I’m sure they had a deadline and some penalties in case the delivery gets delayed. Us mortals can wait.

We are just trying to find some kind of logical explanation of the situation.

I was told that VIN number is assigned in the 7th, last stage of production, and 8th being the transport. I think someone posted these stages in the thread, but don’t have time to scroll through all the pages again 😉 So before reaching that stage it can stop due lack of parts. So even though mine in supposedly in production since this week, I won’t believe it until it arrives at the dealers parking lot.

DSG and side assist here as well, I guess we’re in for a late start…

This is a total rip off, one of the reasons we are waiting patiently is the fact that we are getting our car at the agreed price. For Octy the prices went up for a 3rd time in Feb 22 since my order in August 21 for a total of cca 1500 for my spec. I did look for used cars (although I swore I wouldn’t buy another one), but why spend 28k for it if I get a new one for that price… I have to check the contract. 🤬

Tbh, we are here to compare notes 😉 I am quite happy that I found a group of ppl who share the same experience.
