Chapeau, been chasing my dealer each month, lately even more as I got some more info. In fact, today I was informed my car has VIN number and is supposedly waiting for door panels before being shipped. I just hope it’s only that and we’re still on schedule for week 20.

Welcome mate, I hope you get a positive info soon. Dealers should not be fed up with us checking, it’s not our fault Skoda is giving us incomplete info or no info at all…

Whether they release it or not should not be the issue imo. Tell me one thing please, Acc and travel assist cause problems mostly in the UK (different units and driving on the other side)? I have to say I didn’t expect such bad aftersale support, I seriously thought Skoda was better than Renault for example (Megane was also one of the options I considered before ordering Octy). Unfortunately I can’t give you my experience as I am still waiting for mine to be made and delivered. But am following this thread to be prepared.

I’d say pretty darn brave of you to do so. Have you checked some other brands or stock cars?

😏 You know what I noticed? No more Skoda advertisements on tv. Which is ok, I got angry every time I saw one…

I don’t get it, car supposedly made and still you don’t have it? This is just plain crazy. And I hope this kind of behavior truly backlashes at Skoda, this is no way to treat a customer…

I am also reading other threads in this forum and I have to say I do have some concerns about the quality of such incoherent production with parts coming when available within several months. Last night I read a quite recent thread on cars being delivered with wifi disabled due reason unknown. Cars delivered this year, February I think. And only older diagnostic tool was able to detect the issue…

I guess, at least you can drive it, while here you only hear stories of a phantom car…

I heard some stories about Toyota though, that you are given an unfinished car and when the missing part is available, you get called in and they install it. But at least you have a car I guess 🤷‍♀️

Hm, I thought there would be less of us here eventually, but new cases keep coming…

Plug-ins are receiving more push backs than others or so it seems lately. Some are even getting a 2023 build date… In the meantime I checked with my dealer again and no changes atm, still in production and due in week 20.

😊 I had a vw touran when kiddos were little. We still have a renault grand espace as a family car, but still doesn’t hurt to have more space.
