  1. Afaik VIN is received when the car is in the last stage of production before transport. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that the car is complete, it might as well be parked and awaiting parts. I got mine since April, but the app still doesn’t accept it.
  2. Ok, I gave in, checked the app, encouraged by your post - still nothing 😭 Ordered 05/08 btw. No matrix lights, no fancy stuff really, no rear view camera, no Canton for crying out loud… Does memorizing VIN by heart give some extra credit? sorry, rant days aren’t over yet, I have a feeling it’s only escalating.

I guess it’s one of the aspects we haven’t mentioned much. Well as long as the Slovenian police force got plenty of them, the rest can wait indefinitely… I’m really getting tired of this waiting, my mother-in-law even more so as I am currently using her car to drive to work… I know I should be near now, but can’t stay positive with all the current experience. I also said I would restrain myself from checking the app - but had to check yesterday evening and guess what - yep, 😞. And yesterday while driving home, 2 white Octys right in front of me, going in the same direction for quite a while, I mean c’mon, stop teasing me 🤬 Sorry about the whine guys, not one of my best days 😞

  10. So, as promised, I contacted my dealer about the prices - some are really changing the prices but they aren’t, it stays the same as on the contract we signed upon ordering. He also said that there is a lot of cars arriving at the moment, so hopefully I get to see mine soon as well. Not getting my hopes up though, I will even restrain myself from checking the app.

  12. I have question for those who picked up their cars this week or last week: was the price as agreed when you ordered? I heard some rumors that dealers are calling around and informing ppl about the price increase (not only Škoda), but can’t check myself due to late hours today. But will definitely do it tomorrow.

  22. Omg, hang in there, both of you, nothing is more important than your health. And 👎 for the dealership and Škoda for handling the whole situation… Wouldn’t be surprised if you find ppl with the same situation, each being told by the dealer/service that this is a unique problem which no one has experienced yet… How old is your car?

Unfortunately I have no experience with this issue, I just wanted to comment on the David against Goliath situation: how can one person prove to anyone that it’s a production fault 🤦🏼‍♀️ And the incompetent mechanics that only rely on computers and the faults they show or don’t. Like this is the only way we can function now…. I do hope you can get the issue sorted.
  24. Yes to both, mostly highways and about 4 months of winter(ish) conditions. And a brand new white car (not arrived yet, but should just a bit before winter) 😬
