I paid £175 with long life oil, I would try and haggle, I just had my second sevice with brake fluid and haldex oil change , should have been £295 but they did it for £250 the day after i went in as they had no work in workshop !
-
looking at the cooler,it would appear the dealer has had it apart (new hose clips) so they must be thinking the same.
-
Oops try this , The contamination is an oily film on top of the coolant its not as if the contamination has emulsified , the warning has been coming on for a few weeks with no other symptoms , will just have to see what dealer comes up with ,who i have to say have never let me down.

JUST HAD A 40.000 SERVICE, WITH BRAKE FLUID CHANGE AND HALDEX OIL CHANGE ,I ALL SO ASKED THE DEALER TO CHECK THE COOLANT LEVEL SENSOR AS THE WARNING LOW COOLANT KEEPS COMING ON THE MAXIDOT , I HAVE CHECK THE COOLANT BUT THE LEVEL IS OK , THE DEALER RESPONSE IS THAT THE COOLANT IS CONTAMINATED WITH WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW, THEY THINK ITS EITHER OIL OR FUEL BUT ONLY IN SMALL AMOUNTS ,THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY HAVE SET UP A CASE WITH SKODA AND I'M TO BOOK IT IN FOR 3 DAYS FOR TESTS , THIS LEADS ME TO BE LEAVE THEY KNOW WOT IT IS, OR THAT SKODA KNOW WOT IT IS, THE DEALERS PARTING SHOT WAS IF IT NEEDS AN ENGINE ITS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, ENY ONE COME ACROSS THIS !!

2.0 TFSi Charcoal Canister
patrolman replied to vRS Carl's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
the fuel tank is vented through the canister to clean the gases , I'm fairly sure that if you remove it the tank vent valve will know the system is open to the atmosphere, -

your moving the of set of the wheel further from the bearing which will affect the geometry of the suspension as it moves, through its travel , i have seen bigger spacers on rally cars when set up is changed for different surfaces but this comes with different geometry , not to mention the extra load on the wheel bearings,
-
15mm is a lot for a spacer, don't for get wheel bolts, would be better to go for a stud conversion !!
-
this is a common fault on all cars , as a rule you should replace them in pears i-e 1+3 2+4 this is due to one coil being negative spark and one positive spark they both fire at the same time, one high resistance coil and one new one will over load the new one , YOU SHOULD ALL WAYS REPLACE THE SPARK PLUGS WHEN REPLACING THE COILS .

i'v got this bar ,its for a standerd 4x4 so the ball is a little higher when fitted to a SCOUT, not a bad thing in my opinion, i got my car June 07 so not a lot of options around ! -
