Ok many thanks for the response. My camera doesn't have a battery so it needs a permanent live and it monitors and then only records any incidents. It can also record on a time lapse mode which takes up less space on memory card. If the car's battery drops below a safe voltage it stops doing this to make sure care will start. thanks again.

Hi, I have currently got my dashcam powered from the USB port on rear view mirror. it works fine but I can't use the parking features as it powers down when the ignition turns off. I have a hardwire kit from my previous car so thought I would install that so I can connect to a permanent live. When I looked this afternoon behind the glove box in passenger side I couldn't see an easy earthing point to use. It looked to be plastic everywhere. Has anyone done this and can suggest what I can use that's easy to access? Many thanks.

Hi, I was brave and did the update this am. All went through with no problems. Took about 15 mins. It was good to have watched the video to know what to expect. Afterwards it said it needed another update and that seemed to be taking longer weirdly. Will give it a test later and hopefully no more issues. Many many thanks for those on here who have helped.

When you say extracted the files What did you do to do this? I have only got one file a 7Z file about 9.3 gb downloaded from the link. Sorry not very technical with stuff like this!

Had mine updated by dealer this week to 1896 as gave up waiting for an OTA update to be done. Was done without issues. Too soon to notice if it has fixed the ACC bug which was the main issue I was having but hopefully it will be sorted now.

I have still not got it. Holding off booking into dealers in the hope.

I am also hoping roll out of the OTA update will begin soon to save a visit to dealer also - nothing yet though

Has anybody on here had the OTA update yet? Keep hoping mine might appear every time I get in the car but no luck so far!

Thanks - really like the sound of this as saves a trip to the dealer.Would be interested to hear when people start getting this update.

Hi - I need to get mine booked in for this as had some issues with ACC. My dealer is not close so was wondering how long this update takes and whether it can be done while you wait or not? Cheers
