Injectors
Have you priced up the injectors they are a fortune and they have to be coded to the car, so if you are getting good milage I wouldn't bother put some injector cleaner in the fuel.

New Head Unit no sound from speakers
If you get one from the scrap yard it will have to be the same as the original one that was fitted also it will be coded so make sure you get the code as well. Don't know how my other post got there twice lol.

New Head Unit no sound from speakers
I believe that you can buy an wiring adaptor the original stereo would only have a low line out to the amp, have a look on eBay also try a search on here as I'm sure its been posted before.

Interior light fuse change leading to oil sensor workshop warning.
I would get the car scanned with VCDS or something similar see if there is any fault codes stored that may help with the problem.

Just a suggestion and I'm not sure with your vehicle, but does it have a separate amp?, if so have a look under the seats as I think if it has it may be under there.

Misfire at 8 deg c
All the filters were changed and the oil by me in May, didn't know they sold winter spec diesel first I have heard of it, will look into that. As to the coolant no it is not falling I have checked for that, oil in the water, water in oil no mayonnaise under the oil filler cap. Never had a problem in the summer and the other week when the temp was at zero no problem then, it was doing it last winter as well, but as the weather got warmer and it wasn't doing it I forgot about it TBH.

Misfire at 8 deg c
No I haven't checked them at that temp, It does not show any fault codes if one of the glow plugs was o/c at that temp it would come up with fault code don't you think.

Misfire at 8 deg c
Octavia mk2 2010 greenline CAYC engine 71000 miles. Any thoughts as to what could be the problem here?, It only happens when the ambient temperature outside is 8 degrees c, the car starts but it is only firing on what seems to be 3 cylinders, engine juddering and a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust, after a few minuets it runs and drives ok. It only happens at that temp any temp above that the car is ok any temp below that the car is ok, I've checked the glow plugs all fine and the power to the glow plugs. Thanks.

Bluetooth Song Timer Wrong
I don't know it was just a suggestion.

Bluetooth Song Timer Wrong
Have you tried a reset? that might do it.

Day light running lights
Also if you use the Carista App you can use the front fog lamps as DRL's that's what I use much better and brighter than the ordinary bulbs. After a while the solder on the ordinary bulbs melt and stop the bulbs working, because the bulbs are on all the time they get quite hot.

Bolero Radio Trim
Have a look on flebay item number 294871044645 I think that will do it.

SKODA OCATAVIA ESTATE 2012 FUEL CONSUMPTION AND GEAR ISSUES
Well I must say I am surprised did not think that such a small loss of refrigerant would make a difference, but the mpg now is in the low 40's, 42, 43 pleased I had it done and at mate rates!.

SKODA OCATAVIA ESTATE 2012 FUEL CONSUMPTION AND GEAR ISSUES
Had the AC done this morning I have a friend that does AC recharging Phoned him and told him what you said, he said bring it down and we will have a look so we extracted the gas and weighed it, it was down by 150 grams you would not think that it would make a difference, but it does seem to be colder as to the milage I will monitor it over a day or two and let you know.

SKODA OCATAVIA ESTATE 2012 FUEL CONSUMPTION AND GEAR ISSUES
Do you have the air conditioning on? it does make a big difference I noticed my milage was low getting 35 to 38 per gallon just locally driving, turned the air con off getting 48 to 49 mpg locally, and on a long run once with the air con off got it to 60 mpg. As to the gear box mine is a manual so can't really comment, does it drive ok is there any service history?.

Flashing glow plug light but recently had all glow plugs changed?
You really need to have it scanned with VCDS or even a basic OBD II reader may give you some fault codes and a clue as to what the problem is, without having it scanned it could be anything, there is a section on this website (can't remember where) that you can contact members who have VCDS that may live near you and may scan it for you for a beer or two. The glow plug light flashing is not just for the glow plugs.

Another DRL failure that wasn't
The reason that happens is they use unleaded solder these days, remove the old solder and use a good quality leaded solder to resolder it, that should do it.

Octavia mk2 PD diesel - draining fuel.
You say the car is a write off so what does it matter, drill a hole in the bottom of the tank and drain it that way.
