Thanks for all the information, interesting that there are no talks about 4WD with the more powerful 2.0TSI in the vRS but it will come as standard with the 204HP version in 2025. Nether the less its a great facelift and good general refinement.

Hey All! hope everyone is doing ok. Seem to have an issue with my new (To Me) 2013 Fabia 1.6TDI Monte Carlo relating to the clutch pedal. In the last week the pedal has been not always returning back to the original location sitting flush with the other pedals. This happens once out of 20 times of using the clutch. To fix it you just pull the pedal back and you are all ok again. (if you do not pull it back then eventually it will just sit flush with the floor but once again you can pull the pedal back to the original position and everything works as normal again for about 20 gear changes) To me it seems like what ever normally pushes the pedal back to the original position is getting stuck such as the clutch cables and needs a little help occasionally. The clutch itself feels normal and have had no issues changing gear or any sounds. Before it take this to get professionally looked at, is there anything I can do to look around and maybe something just needs to be cleaned out and greased (wish full thinking). Thanks in advance.

Wow impressive with your disks and pads, mine had to be replaced at 50k, just looking ahead when driving helps prolong them so much.

I mean you have said it perfectly here. I just found it interesting that some people don't see what's going on and that there nothing realistically that anyone can do about it. On the motorway you see some cars with their headlights pointed so far down they can see about 10 meters in-front of them, like you say I guess they are keeping other road users happy.

Hey all, Hope you are okay? Ive just been on reddit ranting about a certain situation and nobody seems to understand and has gotten very angry at me. so I'm going to do my very best to explain it here just to I know i'm not going mad. Scenario: You are driving in your car at night up an incline with your low-beams on, you are reaching the top of said incline (still driving uphill) and over the top of the horizon you see an oncoming vehicle. As your low-beams are still running parallel of the incline, your lights will illuminate (blind) this oncoming vehicle and vice versa as you are below their low beam cut off height. I'm not annoyed that if happens because its just physics but I i'm just wondering why so little other motorists understand what is going on and then will flash you thinking you have your high-beams on. This all came about when I was on a road yesterday with many inclines and I kept getting flashed by other motorist who most likely thought I had my high beams on. I hope this makes sense and if it doesn't I've made a questionably tacky illustration bellow. As you can see both cars have their low beam on (top of the illumination is parallel to the incline the car is on.) and in this case both cars would be blinding each other.

They are sooooo comfortable, one of the only seats i've never got back pain in.

They are taking the car for 3 days and completely sanding down the whole arch and not just a localised area, then using some sort of epoxy, primer and paint, I think its not too bad.

Sadly it was not through Skoda but through a random dealer, I have been quoted £350 for the repair at a local accident repair shop and they seem to do a good job in the way they explained it.

They did it for free back then out of courtesy, I don't think it will be done by them no matter how much you try, ive gotten a few quotes and ive asked about a guarantee an they all said they will not give me guarantee as its inevitable that it will come back.

Hello all! hope everyone is doing well? Back when I bought my car in October 22 there was minimal rust on the left rear wheel arch (really minimal, i'm surprised I saw it). I spoke to the dealer and they agreed to sand, prime and respray the arch and they did a visibly perfect job, as they did it for free I was certain that in half a year it would be back and I was right, it has come back but very very minimal again, id rather get it done now before it becomes a huge repair. (pictures below) I have a few questions about how to go about this, I have read that Skoda do a 10/12 year warranty on rust, how likely am I to have success with is? Is this repair something I can do myself? the only thing i'm worried about is getting a good paint finish. How much would it cost to get something like this professionally repaired (the rust is currently just on the surface, you can see where the paint has come off (I got too close with he pressure washer) that it is still silver metal underneath) Are there any temporary fixes for the short term that I can do to prevent it getting worse until I figure out a permanent solution? Any help is appreciated and if you want a video or more pictures please let me know.

GET OUT!!! only joking 😂 I thought that too ate first but it seems that the lights switches between green and orange randomly, ill drive into a tunnel and I see the hieadlights automatically come on reflecting of the wall but no change on the switch :(, its only a small issue but I guess it keeps the dash clean with no lights being on it!

Hey, main dealer kept saying to get it serviced at 80k and that it was not necessary until then (previous owners did not have it done either and all services were done at Skoda so I would not see why they would not get it done there if it was recommended at 40k), I opted to get it done at 55k not long after I got the car, it gives me peace of mind for about 3-5 years now until it's due again, I think for the price and how often you have to do it, it's worth it.

Mirror lights are standard I believe, I believe lane assist and blindspot assist are not standard, A way to see with pictures on listings is to look out for a symbol in the dash as the attached image shows, (do note if you turn the feature off it will not show in the dash so if a car does not have this symbol then it may still have lane assist) Got to say the lane assist is amazing on long motorway drives, it makes it so so much easier driving.

I was thinking that, I've checked all the wiring I can. The wire coming out is grey with purple connection ends. I've been looking online for a camera replacement but I'm only seeing ones with split cable ends so multiple cables coming out the camera. Do you have any links where to get the camera from? Would the new one need any coding?

The camera is aftermarket, So the car has 2 previous owners, guessing the original owner would have spec the car with a revers camera so guessing the second owner had it installed, I have contact details through the service history but I don't think I can contact them as it's their privacy. second owner was march 21 to about march 22 so some time then it was fitted.

Hello all Since I've had my car i've had an issue with my reverse camera, camera would go black for about a second every 5 secs or so (not a huge issue) on these occasions the dynamic lines would never work and would always point straight, when doing into drive the error would pop up saying park pilot was unavailable. The above situation would haven about 8 times out of 10, the other 2 times everything would work, no interrupted signal, dynamic lines working and no error when going into drive. About 3 months ago the signal gave up completely and a black image is shown (the overlays still all working and sensors working fine back and front). I have had this black image for the last 3 months and I really miss the camera 😅. I was told by a trusty tech that the camera is aftermarket. I have taken the rear boot trim out to inspect the connection to the camera but all looks fine. I was unable to check where it plugs into the infotainment system in the glovebox. could this be a dodgy cable or connection or the camera failing? Any help is appreciated.

Had the exact same issues as you described pretty much, invest in a charger and see if the problems go away before committing to a new battery as I managed to avoid this with the charger.
