Can i just buy your engine Des Will swap it for my engine and a set of cams. What would you suggest for the 350bhp mark? Obviously Pistons and Rods would be uprated at that time. Garry -
The definitive suspension mods for a vRS?
GarryC replied to tsp's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Got you Thanks for that. Well i get a slight discount via work so will order them up and let you know how i get on. Although as i only do around 3000 miles a year it could be some time before they are properly tested, lol Garry -
I will soon be fitting a set of the new design powerflex ones. Will let you know how they get on. Garry

Yeah, Charge cooling is more pricey so not a Pikey option. Just something i had not considered for the VRS Garry

Edited so all can see the pics -
LOL. i know mate, just being silly. I was over at my friends workshop at the weekend and he has a K1 Attack in at the moment that he is fitting a Large Turbo 1.8t lump into the back off. Because its mid engined and has limited space they are fitting a charge cooler. The thing is tiny and meant to be more efficient that an Inter cooler. Not sure how to go about fitting one to our cars but could be another option. Garry

or Intercooler.....
-
I cant see why not. As long as you can route the pipe work then it makes sence i guess to keep costs down. I was going to use an ex WRC Evo 9 Intercooler for my FMIC but ended up giving to a mate as i had not got round to fitting it. Given the number of hoses that are used in standard cars, it stands to reason that you could make up all the pipe work required from them. It would take many trips to many breakers tho im sure Go for it. Garry

Sounds good. Now where are you located Thanks for the advise. I will do all the fitting myself but will get Mike to map it for me. What manifold did you use with your GT28? A poor manifold can increase lag loads compared to a well designed tubular manifold. In my job im lucky enough to be able to get these made here so its no problem for me. Kind Regards Garry -

Thanks guys. Will get them ordered up. For the record, these are the "new design" bushes so should not have the same problem as some users have previously experianced. Will let you know how i get on. Kind Regards Garry -
I can put it in the parcel with your exhaust, lol. (videos taken, just editing them) :-) garry

Am i missing an interal forum joke here? With regards to the actual question, the gains on a forced induction engine would be minimal, it has the capability to flow quite a high volume. It may be worth upgrading to a larger diameter body and enlarged inlet manifold if you go big turbo, but not on the K03S turbo Kind Regards Garry -
Des, think you should get your car in the mag. Show them its not all about the Golfs Garry
