  1. When the 12V battery in my Mk4 drained somehow the car wouldn't start, so apparently the 12V battery is needed for the engine to start.
  2. After some research, the Panasonic CR2032 batteries have a slightly better capacity and might last longer.
  3. It's just the extra code in the "clima" menu.
  4. After I disabled the "turn on steering wheel heating automatically" and never used the steering wheel heating function, the Travel Assist and SOS Assist warnings never popped up again. 10 days and not a single error.
  5. 1. The bug started after approximately one year of ownership, the "Travel Assist Unavailable" + "SOS failure" started popping up sometimes multiple times in a row. The dealership replaced the steering wheel (with the heating option) and updated the software after that, the errors stopped. After around 8 months after the new steering wheel the problems started again and this time the dealership said that they couldn't fix it and that I must wait for the new software update. 2. The bug appears every time the car is started after a minute or two of driving sometimes even on startup. 3. It seems that the bug appears less frequently when the car is completely warmed up (after 10-15 minutes of driving) but it never disappears completely. And it happens less often on the highway than in city driving. 4. The bug happens regardless if I use the Travel Assist or not. 5. I do not have the dongle. 6. The yellow lights for the Travel Assist and SOS Assist errors remain on for a minute or two then disappear, sometimes they disappear instantly. + a couple of other observations, the error messages often coincide with me turning on the indicators in like 1 in 5 times.
  6. I was happy with my 2021 model year, delivered around April, until the Travel Assist and SOS assist bugs didn't start.
  7. Article about this problem has been written in august https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/skoda-working-on-fix-for-travel-assist-issue The problem exists from the start and they have the audacity to write it will be fixed sometimes in the first half of 2023, 2 f@cking years for a simple software fix.
  8. I am on the latest firmware upgrade (1896), and the problem is getting worse by the day. In addition, the instrument panel indicators for fuel and coolant temp are occasionally flashing.
  9. Mine flickers also, I am on what is presumably the latest firmware (1896), it happened before but then they change the steering wheel and the problem went away. Now the same error "Travel assist not available" keeps flashing repeatedly and the dealer told me the factory no longer allows the to change the steering wheel. So any suggestions?
