  1. I dont know the method I'm afraid.... BUT if you have VCDS, try it and see if your figures show the sort of figures you'd expect (eg with a remap) I know when I used to do the runs on the old 1.8T engines, the results were always pretty good... (and you could see a difference in the data depending on air temp to...
  2. Data logging... while driving. (3rd gear pull across the rev range - 4th would be ideal but speeds are a bit high.) If you log the RPM and the engine torque you can then use excel to calculate the power and draw a plot I used Loc. IDE00021 for Engine RPM and Loc. IDE00100 for Engine torque. Example attached (the run thats got be questioning my engines power) LOG-01-IDE00021_&3.xlsx
  3. Reset mine "manually" today... not sure why it would be dangerous... 1. Ignition off... 2. Hold trip reset 3. turn ignition on still holding trip reset 4. option to reset comes up. 5. let go of the trip reset 6. press reset trip to acknowledge. 7. turn off ignition. At stage 4 - if you hold longer it will change from Rest oil to reset inspection...
  4. Evening all. I have a 2018 Superb that I've had from new (lease). I bought it last year and have just dug out my VCDS and had a play... Back in the day, i used to do power runs using the logging in VAGCOM... So I figured I have a quick play... Long story short, the runs result in me seeing 192bhp peak. I've used a bluetooth ODBII reader and Torque Pro in the past and also seen 170+ reading from that... Has anyone else come across anything like this?
  5. Has anyone got a copy of the service bulletin? Mines done it for years (MY2018) stops for a bit if i mention it on a dealer service. I'm upto 130k now with no detrimental issues. But I'm servicing it myself now so could do with seeing where to lube.
  6. I tried WD40 hoping to free up the pin... It felt eith sticky with grease or its similar in operation to those "soft close" dampers. I was hoping it was the first, and the WD would free it up but it didnt 😕
  7. Just seen this post pop up. I've got the same issue in my Feb'18 Superb. I'm about to buy it from the lease comapny and figured Id try and get this niggle fixed before I commit 🙂
