  1. I have a 2021 Octavia and don’t run the car so much. When the car was in for its 2year service I asked the dealer to check for a battery drain. They run extensive checks and found everything to be ok. When the battery is low I get Auto handbrake error, radar error, pdc error. Local garage checked it out and all fault codes stored were low voltage errors. Replaced the battery. 36,000 miles, 5 year old I would have expected better. As a side note, if the battery voltage drops below 12 volts, that’s usually the end of the battery.
  2. James, My wife has a car that sits for long periods too so I just use the clips. If we only had the one car I would be using the Eyelet connectors. Once they have been fitted, it’s a simple case of joining the connectors each time you use it. 👍
  3. I don’t use my 2021 Octavia much either and use a CTEK - 5 which does a great job charging the battery. When my car lies still for about a week I get the Auto Handbrake error message. Charge the battery and all is good!
  4. I have the same with iPhone. Music is interrupted when you get a notification on your phone. 👍
  5. I had similar concerns. The most important thing is the PCD and wheel offset. I have a 2021 Octavia and the TPMS works using the ABS sensors - if the tyre looses pressure it will rotate at a different speed and raise the alarm - your wheels have no sensors. If a car has wheel sensors, the infotainment system will tell you the live tyre pressures. My car came with 17” alloys and I use 16” steel wheels fitted with winter tyres, during the winter season. When you swap the wheels you will get an alarm to tell you to check tyre pressures on all wheels. You do have to stop the engine, get out the car, get back in the car before you can set the tyre pressures on the touchscreen. I suppose this is so that you can’t reset the tyre pressures without first getting out the car. I hope this helps.
  6. Thanks guys. Unticking the rear wipe when engaging reverse gear did the trick 👍
  7. Cheers Steve. Handy when you need it for sure, but when the rain has just come on and the road is still dry, that’s a lot of scraping noise on the back screen. Cheers, Steve far Skye
  8. Many thanks for your reply Kenny. I did see that in the menu, but it didn’t follow (my) logic that this is how it is controlled. I’ll give that a shot & post how I get on. All the best, Steve
  9. I have a question for mk iv Octavia owners. I’ve had my 2021 Octavia for 1 year now and just had it serviced. Now when I have my front wipers on, or on intermittent, the rear wiper also comes on intermittently. I don’t recall this happening before the car was serviced and I can’t see a way to disable this function. Am I missing something? Thanks, Steve
