Been meaning to get my heater sorted the past two years now, summer rolls around and it just seems unimportant. There is zero heat coming from the driver side and just a little from passenger I suspect the heater matrix is blocked, coolant tank looks ok and silicone doesnt appear split Can the matrix be flushed out without replacing and if it needs replaced how do i determine the correct part and i read a thread last year on different shapes of matrixes. Cant seem to find it

Could be what i have. Not exactly clued in on this but i assume there should be brake pads regardless of what's in place at the hitch

I must check it for brakes, ive not had it long, bought from a family member so dont have the details on it. If i can only tow 750kg loaded then its not much use as it weighs that empty lol Ive lifted a couple of heavy loads of timber, about 500kg and no driving issues. It definitely hasnt electric brakes but i check around the wheels for hydraulic brakes, there is a level connected with a cable but i think thats just a handbrake to stop trailer moving when unhooked

I stumbled upon a weighbridge, with my empty trailer and 2018 octavia vrs, it showed a weight of 2120kg. Not an option to unhook trailer to weigh car but i think octsvia is around 1400kg. That puts trailer at 700kg and its unbraked I think im ok to pick up this pizza oven, its 800kg so MAM will be less than 3000kg, im allowed 3500kg

Ive got VCDS connected to my car. Ive done a full scan. Cannot see anything related to heater flaps Is there a subsection i should be looking at

Surely a blocked heater matrix would not be impacting the AC (cold air) My timing belt was recently done along with coolant and wate pump so all looking good If its the heater flap motor then it has to be both sides and both are causing problems Couod it be the thermostat I must get vcds, i assume it will tell me if motors are faulty?

Ive tried calibrating them several times to no avail. Is this going to be a full dash removal then to get the thing fixed. Second car now this has happened to be lol

Over the winter i noticed my driver side had no heat. It appeared the heater matrix was the problem. Now im not so sure. Ive now noticed I have an issue with the air con. The passenger does not have cold air, driver side does So basically, driver side no heat, good AC Passenger side, great heat but no AC

I have no doubt the trailer is capable, its a braked 4 wheel galvanised trailer. Just not sure if 700kg is too much for the octavia

I thought my issue was only related to driver side not getting hence, new matrix would fix it. Since its quite warm i didnt think it would be an issue but now i find passenger side is not cold enough, driver side is nice and cold So is the problen still the matrix, does it affect how cold the AC is?

Looks like i have the same issue as the below No heating on the driver side, the heater matrix must be the issue Was advised against buying a cheap part due to the silicone content and potential to burst in the car. Should i be buying genuine or is valeo or mahle ok around the £100 mark. I see the cheap one advised around £50

I have got considerable damage to one alloy, minor damage on two and no damage on the other. Not one to mark alloys but two mistakes in as many weeks lol Im thinking of getting them recut but will it look silly getting three recut, leaving one wheel looking less like the others. Maybe i could get the one severely damaged wheel recut and get something done with the other two. Can you polish up diamond cut wheels?

I got the glow plugs, all came out easy and new ones fitted. The pressure glowplug was £160 and other three only £18 each. Some differennce, whats the purpose of this expensive glow plug. Also im not sure what VCDS steps i need to perform, i read somewhere on the forum that learnt valves need to be reprogrammed

Greeted with an engine management light this morning, its P0673, which is the third glowplug with pressure sensor. Will change all four...i assume this is correct? Could it be anything else apart from glowplug itself, electric wiring or dirty sensor? Ive read there needs to be steps to be done by VCDS regarding the valves, can anyone link to this procedure?

My camera doesn't work, could this be the power washer?

Has anyone remapped an Octavia VRS 184bhp? Im interested in getting mine but curious to know if its worth it and if theres any negative impact to components. Im reluctant to do anything that would impact the longevity of this very reliable car

Yes thats what ive set it to. Ive also noticed a small light on the dash cam, its solid red which indicates recordings, then when i switch ignition off it blinks red which means stops recording. So its definitely working as it should. Id say its not good for the battery but if ive any issues ill just turn off parking mode

I liked the look of the Viofo WM1, it sits behind my mirror, you can barely see it. Good camera, although lacks a few features you get in higher end cameras. I think it is actually working as it should, it didnt record anything overnight and when i left for work this morning it began recording. So the camera is active at all times, you can connect to the camera even if ignition is off so maybe thats normal. Anyway ill keep an eye on it and ive jump cables in the boot if my battery dies.

Yes it has two wires, battery and accessory. Ive enabled parking mode but i assumed the camera would still turn off with ignition then if there was motion or impact it would record.

Ok so ive installed a viofo wm1 with their official hardwire kit. Battery wire goes to fuse 40, ignition wire goes to 47 and its grounded. Working fine but the camera does not switch off. Im confident its been fitted correctly and has to be just a setting needing adjusted Anybody know what it could be.

Does the B pillar trim just pop off. Im getting a serious rattle while driving. Seems to be coming from this area. Does the top panel just pop off then same for lower trim after top has been removed? Cant say ive been able to find any guide or video
