  1. Looks interesting:D,shame the meeting time is so early. May have to make the effort for this though methinks:).
  2. No it is certainly not dead! Plans for this are still ongoing, and as soon as I have some info,i'll post it.
  3. Come on guys, make allowances,he does vote Labour......
  4. Thanks for that ap0gee.Much appreciated.
  5. Hi, The temperature guage on my Octy seems to behaving differently to normal:confused:.Ive ruled out weather/temperature factors as it isn't yet cold enough to make any difference. I was always surprised how quickly the car reached 90 from cold, but in the last week or so it stays on the rest for a while then relatively quickly reaches 90,sometimes hovering around 80 before settling where it should. Ive timed it over the last few days and it reaches 90 within 7-8 minutes.I realize this isn't long, but it is not behaving as it previously did. Do these symptoms sound more like a stuck Thermostat, rather that a faulty sender unit?
  6. How anybody of sound mind could even consider voting labour is beyond me:mad:. A decade of this vile rabble has decimated our country, and I fear the damage is irreparable. Having said that there is nothing to choose between the so called 'big three',they are all pro EU,and favor the foreign horde over and above the welfare of the indigenous population. Treacherous scum the lot of 'em:finger:.
  7. Hi Soviet.Yes there readily available, usually around the £40 mark, I got mine from Screwfix Pela Pumps, Oil, Liquid Extractors, Oil Extract
  8. I had a similar experience when I first got my Octy. The car had a FSH from DM Keith:eek:,and the loon who replaced the sump plug had not only overtightened it considerably, but had mashed the thread in the sump as well. I don't mess about removing the sump plug anymore, its far easier to use an oil extraction pump, and do the lot from inside the bonnet, plus I find it removes more oil,as I believe the oil within the oil cooler stays there when relying on draining, but my trusty Pela vacuums it all up a treat:thumbup:.
  9. Breathtaking ignorance would be my guess. My Octavia is the first Diesel ive ever owned, and I understand more about this engine than any of the petrol engined cars I ever had. Surely logically, Diesel is the way to go.
  10. David Icke has a vast knowledge, and some very convincing theories regarding conspiracies and state/government control. Read his astonishing book on the World Trade center disaster, and the reality of the Bush/Bin Laden situation, its a real eye opener. However, this reptilian nonsense he constantly expounds, destroys his credibility to many, which is a great shame.
  11. Id'e never even heard of this additive until recently, but having studied the various threads relating to it,and read the almost universal positive reports from users,im converted! I would appreciate it if you could count me in please Tom:thumbup:

    Stickers

How long does it normally take to receive Briskoda stickers? I ordered mine nearly two weeks ago and still no sign.......
  13. Thats what you call a comprehensive post! Great pics:thumbup:
  14. Yet more pandering to the politically correct tosspots that control our lives:finger:. To hell with the lot of 'em!!
  15. This is devastating news if correct, and all the more so if a six year old has died as well. This is not a good day!:thumbdwn:
  16. Thought that was the Flux Capacitor?
  17. Dont know about that,I know a Hawker Hurricane tragically crashed at Shoreham Airshow today killing the pilot.
  18. I would think that that ratio of petrol/diesel would be quite safe to continue driving and not be too concerned. The two will mix,and 60 ltr diesel to 2.5ltr petrol is probably less than people used to add to Diesel engines in the winter to prevent the fuel 'gelling' or freezing.
  19. I was in the same situation as you a few weeks ago. Some buffoon broke my screen at the MOT (then denied all responsibility or knowledge of the crack),and after making contact with the insurance company,it was a choice of either Autoglass or the RAC. The number of horror stories ive heard about Autoglass ruled them out:thumbdwn: immediately,so it was down to the RAC. I too am very particular regarding who I allow near my car,and the thought of some inept loon being let loose on it was indeed a worry. However, the two guys who turned up seemed very professional, spent best part of an hour doing the screen, and did a very good quality job, although I was watching throughout the entire duration of the replacement.:P Don't worry, but do watch!
